I caught the bug to practice law while working as a litigation paralegal with a major law firm after college. Following law school (and with no prior military background), I embarked on a journey as an active duty Army JAG attorney. Throughout my eight years as a "soldier-lawyer," I got my feet wet (literally and figuratively), gained lots of good court room experience (prosecuting and later defending soldiers at courts-martial), and also repeatedly pushed myself out of my comfort zone. Perhaps the most exhilirating and scary part of my job was the opportunity to regularly jump out of perfectly good airplanes.
Sharing about my early legal career is just my way of illustrating that over and over again, Eleanor Roosevelt's words have proven prophetic ... across all aspects of my life. The same is very often true for my clients and I'd welcome the chance to help guide them through the challenges (and fears) that bring them to me and my office.

Good communication and thorough
