John was hired to handle a VOP for my son on a very serious original charge. To make a long story short, my son was OVER charged in 2009 by Pinellas County Sheriff's and the Prosecutors. We had bad representation for that charge so this charge 'hung' over my son's head for years. The VOP he had wa...s a minor event that could have had very serious long term consequences due to the original charge. John was very successful in accomplishing everything we wanted for my son. He got him into treatment for drugs and mental health issues which is what he has been needing the court to order for years as he wouldn't do it voluntarily. John was able to keep my son's adjudication withheld. He was able to keep him out of prison as he was looking at approximately 5 years in prison but possibly longer. John is a very reasonably priced attorney. He is patient and answers your questions even if you've already asked the question 3 times. He listens to your frustrations about our judicial system to let off some steam, even though he probably thinks this isn't time well spent. He never got annoyed with us for calling him repeatedly. He always remained polite, professional, sympathetic and never gave false hope. He can be a little challenging to get on the phone but I'm sure he's very busy as he's a GREAT attorney.

I have a great distrust of attorneys. Trevena is one of the few that I would recommend. He's helped me and my family through some harsh times. He is forthright and tells how it is. Even when it's not good. But doesn't try to scare. He also does his best to LISTEN and answer questions no matter ho...w silly they may seem. He makes himself available when others won't and you might be in the scariest place you've ever been. He is also frank about his charges.
