An Excellent Caring Attorney

James A May was an excellent attorney, he represented me in a misdemeanor case and was able to negotiate a favorable plea with a very unwilling prosecution. He makes a very good effort to keep you informed and is very fair and upfront about cost. If needed I would use him again, and I would recommend... him to family and friends.

Went better than expected, never even had to go to a court date

Hired James for multiple traffic charges in pinellas and a theft charge in Hillsborough. Gave a flat fee first day we met, and never tried to nickel and dime us or invoice us after based on his time. Got everything consolidated and reduced for her without even needing us to appear. We let him know up... front we’d prefer no probation and he worked with the prosecutors to get us deals that fit our wishes. Was always easy to get hold of and prompt.

Great lawyer

I want to thank Mr.May for the amazing job he did for me in my DUI case. I had a lot of evidence stacked up against me and I really didn't think Mr. May would be able to do much for me, but he proved to be witty & krafty ,because of this I was able to beat my DUI case. Mr. May is a fine lawyer who ca...res and will battle for you. I highly recommend Mr .May

Dignity in Defense

No mother in the world can ever imagine that they will be charged with DUI involving their children. This was absolutely where I found myself when I employed James May. I was facing 90 days in jail minimum leaving my children behind in the care of others. I would have missed the start of 2nd grade..., their 8th Birthdays’ and all of the growing up that kids do in 90 days not to mention the immeasurable impact of two little girls losing their mother for that long . This was devastating! I had just lost my father to cancer, I was depressed and hating myself for all of it. I was crying over the phone and James told me that I was not a bad person for what was going on in my life at that time. He reminded me that I am an excellent mother. He honored my family by attending my father’s funeral and sharing my loss with the judge during my defense. He helped me immensely by getting me into intensive outpatient rehab. This was so beneficial to my mental health and also showed the judge that I was taking the situation very seriously. James not only advised me of exactly what to do to please the judge, he encouraged me to get the help I needed and allowed me to retain my dignity in this horrible situation. The judge showed mercy on me keeping me with my family and insisting that I complete my rehab. James’ advice and defense were priceless and I am so thankful that I hired him!

One of the best!

Attorney James Anthony May is one of the best attorneys in Florida hands down! In my particular case I was charged with Marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia in Tampa FL. At first I actually called my old attorney in Orlando FL. where I used to live and he told me I live out of his territory... now but that he knew someone who could help me out here in Tampa and who is good. Honestly I was upset that I had to use a different attorney but I called Mr. May anyway and he said he could definitely help me out so we set up an appointment. At the appointment Mr. May explained to me all of my options and assured me that I need to not worry and that he will take care of everything. After that I pretty much sat around and did nothing as he worked on the case and did whatever it is that he does. We talked here and there but it was him just mainly telling me to rest assured and that he had everything under control. Now I really cant get into all the details of my case but I will try to put into perspective the best I can.. Basically all I can say is I have multiple priors including the same charge which I was charged with which was Marijuana possession and paraphernalia and all I walked away with was minimal court fees!! Thats it!!! Thank You James LEGALIZE IT!!!
