James May

I was picked up and charged with driving under the influence. I questioned friends and searched on the internet looking for an attorney to represent me. I was advised to be careful as there were a number of very high priced attorneys who did very little but take your money. I interviewed a number of ...lawyers, who were recommended as very competent and experienced. I chose James May. After listening to my recap of events, he put me at ease with his knowledge of the process and his detailed explanation of exactly how he would handle my case. His fees were very reasonable and in line with the other lawyers with whom I spoke. At every step of the way when I had questions, James was there with options and sage guidance. What I was delighted to discover was that James appeared to have an extremely good relationship with the people who were prosecuting me and a keen knowledge of which judges to avoid, if possible. The bottom line is that James got the DUI charges dropped down to careless driving (not even reckless), adjudication was withheld and no points! I am so grateful for James’ hard work and dedication to my case. He is a down to earth, very caring individual and an experienced, knowledgeable attorney who knows how to work the system. I hold him in highest regard and would unconditionally recommend him should the need arise.

Highly recommend

From the very first time meeting with Mr. May I felt confident in my decision to hire him. From beginning to end he was communicative, professional and knowledgeable of every aspect of my case. He took the time to talk to me and relieve my stress and anxiety when I was in a panic mode. He was able to... resolve my 2nd DUI case without any jail time, which I feared I was facing. If you are looking for a reputable attorney, James May is the right choice.

Thanks to James May! Would highly recommend.

I was referred to James May by a friend when l was facing intimidating charges. He made the process understandable and less scary. My case went smoothly and with all of his help, it won't take so long for me to be back to life as normal! And more mature in my handling of drinking and driving.

Great lawyer

I want to thank Mr.May for the amazing job he did for me in my DUI case. I had a lot of evidence stacked up against me and I really didn't think Mr. May would be able to do much for me, but he proved to be witty & krafty ,because of this I was able to beat my DUI case. Without a doubt the best Attorney in the St. Pete/Clearwater area!

James May is absolutely the best Attorney in this area. He was highly recommended from a mutual friend of mine and I’m so grateful to have hired this man. I was charged with a high blow DUI earlier this year after making a stupid and selfish decision of getting behind the wheel of a car. I had absolu...tely no fighting chance of getting this mistake to go away and it would surely impede any chances of getting into the field I’m currently going to school for. Long story short, through is hard work and dedication to helping me he was able to get the DUI reduced to reckless on account that I complete the courts requirements. Couldn’t have asked for a better outcome. Needless to say I’ve learned my lesson and will never put myself in this position again. Thanks for everything James!
