Born and raised in El Paso Texas, I moved to Tampa Florida in the midst of a global pandemic not knowing I would very quickly fall in love with all that the Tampa Bay Area offers.

Launching my legal career in Clearwater gave me the opportunity to work alongside Board Certified Expert in Marital and Family Law, and Board Certified Advocate Gary E. Williams, B.C.S. For years, I worked directly with Mr. Williams as his designated Law Clerk, solely managing his cases, and preparing for and attending hearings, depositions, and trials. I also helped Mr. Williams in preparing and drafting discovery requests and financial affidavits for clients.

With the experience, skills, and training received under Mr. Williams, the transition from Law Clerk to Associate Attorney was seamless. To date, I have handled numerous cases in varying stages of the legal process, from initial consultations, to mediation, to final hearings, and even trial. Focusing solely on Family and Marital Law has helped me tailor my practice to efficiently aid clients through this challenging life change.

As a member of the Florida Bar Family Law, Trial Lawyers, and Young Lawyers Sections, I strive to always be a student of the law, staying up to date on new laws and cases, and providing some of the resources gained from these sections with clients. With a background in Media and Communications, I have been hand selected as a Committee Member of the Florida Bar Media and Communications Law Committee, diving deeper into First Amendment issues prevalent in our country and the State of Florida.

I founded The Family Law Firm of Tampa Bay with the belief that every client should have access to affordable, high-quality legal representation. Some of the most rewarding clients I’ve had the pleasure of working with are those who were turned away by other Firms solely because they could not afford to pay thousands of dollars upfront in legal fees. My goal is to work on a financial strategy together with all clients that works well for you and your budget, without sacrificing the quality of your representation.

I received my Juris Doctorate Degree (J.D.) from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio Texas. During my time at St. Mary’s, I was honored to be selected as a member of the Trial Advocacy Team, competing on both the Mock Trial and Jessup International Moot Court Teams. St. Mary’s Trial Advocacy program was recently named 4th in the Nation by the American Bar Association, and I credit my oral advocacy and brief writing skills to the training I received at St. Mary’s.

On occasion you may see (or hear!) the legal assistants in training at The Family Law Firm of Tampa Bay – Walter, Kylo, and Lara. When not spending time with my fur babies, you can catch me at a Buccaneers or Lightning game with my husband! I love spending time with my family, keeping my Peloton streak alive, and watching reality TV shows.

Amazing Advocate!
It's not difficult to think of all the wonderful things I could say about Attorney Quintana. She is spectacularly organized and has a brilliant understanding of the state of Florida's laws. Because of her representation during a domestic abuse situation I was finally able to be free of a terrible situation. Her guidance and support was invaluable to me during that very difficult time. She was my voice when I had none and my rock and steadfast supporter. I am grateful to her for all the days of freedom, peace and happiness I have had since she represented me!

My divorce went a lot smoother that I anticipated thanks to Mireya Quintana. She was up front with me about the entire process and what to expect. She worked tirelessly to give me exactly what I wanted and continued to assist me afterwards when I needed her. I highly recommend her services.

I couldn't ask for anyone better!
Since I live way outside of the Tampa Bay area, it was daunting to look for a family lawyer. I'm so glad to have found Mireya. I needed someone who would stand firm and be honest. My case was a little bit complicated in regards to temporary custody in light of a difficult circumstance. Mireya communicated very well. She was very detailed in her questions and her notes. She listened to the entire story of my divorce and how my ex and I ended up with our custody arrangement (from another state). She was honest about what we could expect from our court hearings. She never shied away from my questions (even if I thought they would be stupid). She even gave me advice on whether or not something I was considering would be helpful. Most importantly, she cared about my children. Her concern was always what was best for them. Not for me. Not their dad. Not for herself. We weren't just another case on the books for her. She really cared about all parties involved. Mireya stood firm on truth and was not intimidated. Through this process and our time together, I was able to find my voice. She taught me how to advocate for my children and to stand up for myself. It's a tragedy that we need family court in the first place, but Mireya has turned my family's tragedy into hope. Over the years, throughout all of our hearings, I've had several different attorneys. I don't think I could ever stop telling people about Mireya being the best attorney I've ever worked with.

Excellent Attorney
Re: Ms. Mireya Quintana: I am certified by the Florida Bar as an expert in Marital and Family Law. I am also certified by the ABA as an expert in family law Trial Advocacy. I have been recognized as both a SuperLawyer and a Best Lawyer. I know a good family law attorney when I see one and I have seen just how good Ms. Quintana is as a family law attorney. I had the privilege of working shoulder to shoulder with Ms. Quintana during her employment with The Law Firm For Family Law. I was amazed at how quickly she absorbed my expertise and knowledge in family law. She very quickly became the Associate Attorney that I had assigned to all of my cases. The reason for that decision was her keen ability to understand our cases and her abilities as an attorney. The feedback I received from clients who dealt with her was always positive and our clients not only felt she was a good attorney but that she also cared about their cases. My experience with Ms. Quintana is that she is a capable attorney who is well trained and dedicated to representing her clients diligently and professionally. Ms. Quintana had the legal knowledge and the skills necessary to manage her client’s family law cases to a successful conclusion. She is an excellent negotiator when it is best to settle a case and she has the skills necessary to be an effective litigator when cases must be tried. I have referred many family law cases to her and I highly recommend her to you. I am confident that you will be happy that your retained her to represent you.
