Attorney Alyson M. George dedicates her career to litigating personal injury matters. Ms. George began her career as an insurance defense attorney, defending claims made against the largest automobile insurance carrier in Florida and its insureds. Although she gained invaluable experience and knowledge in that position, she quickly realized she would be better suited fighting for the rights of the injured, instead of defending a billion dollar insurance carrier.
Armed with the knowledge of how insurance carriers evaluate and defend claims, Ms. George joined a prominent Clearwater personal injury firm as a litigation attorney handling various types of cases including: car accidents (including those involving DUI/punitive damages), slip/trip and falls, cemetery/crematory/funeral home negligence/malpractice, bicycle accidents, pedestrian accidents, wrongful death, and many other types of cases involving negligence that lead to personal injuries. After gaining valuable trial and litigation experience, Ms. George accepted a position as the litigation attorney for a well-known Tampa firm. While working for the Tampa firm in Ybor City, Ms. George litigated cases involving motorcycle crashes, negligent security, slip/trip and falls, automobile accidents, daycare negligence, and many other types of cases involving negligence that lead to personal injuries or death. After working under the tutelage and mentorship of some of the best trial lawyers in the Tampa Bay area for over seven years, Ms. George decided it was time open her own firm. After several years of partnership, and operating as Stechschulte Bulnes, Ms. George now owns and operates Alyson M. George, PLLC.
Ms. George moved to Florida in 2002, and began law school at Stetson University College of Law in the Fall of 2003. While at Stetson Law, she was a member of the Moot Court Board, notably winning an award for Best Brief at the 2005 Orseck Competition. Ms. George has been a member of the Florida Bar since 2007 and is also admitted to practice in United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Ms. George graduated from the University of Dayton cum laude in 2002, having been a participant and leader in many clubs and activities on campus. Ms. George belongs to the Florida Justice Association. She is also an active member, and former member of the Board of Directors of the Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association. Both the FJA and TBTLA, as professional organizations, work to protect fair and equal access to the courts for those who are injured by the negligence of others.
Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Ms. George enjoys many things traditionally associated with Kentucky: horse racing, bourbon, college basketball, and southern hospitality. Because the Tampa Bay area became her home when she matriculated to Stetson University College of Law in 2003, Ms. George also loves the rich and diverse culture in Tampa, and the activities the Florida weather allows virtually year-round. When she is not zealously advocating for the rights of her clients, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, practicing yoga, meditating, reading, painting, snorkeling, cooking/baking, traveling, attending sporting events, enjoying live music, visiting art museums and festivals, volunteering, and raising money for various charitible causes.
