Very Disappointed

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with this law firm. I hired this firm to help me with my VA disability claim and expected them to protect my interests throughout the appeal process. I had been waiting months for a Higher-Level Review informal conference, which was an important oppor...tunity for me to speak directly with the VA about the errors in my claim. I later discovered that the law firm canceled my informal conference without telling me they were doing it. I was never given the opportunity to decide whether I wanted to keep the conference or cancel it myself. After waiting months for that opportunity. What makes this even more frustrating is that I specifically questioned the firm about why they would not participate in my informal conference. I was told it was their policy not to participate because they preferred to "control the narrative." I didn't understand that this meant they would cancel my conference and take away my opportunity to speak with the VA myself. As a veteran, I hired an attorney because I wanted someone protecting my claim and making this process easier, not making decisions this important without my knowledge. Months of waiting are now gone; my claim has been denied again, and I am left trying to figure out how to correct a situation that I believe should never have happened in the first place. Communication and trust are incredibly important when someone is handling a veteran's disability claim. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this firm. If you are a veteran considering hiring them, I strongly recommend asking exactly what they will and will not do with your VA appeals, and whether they will make decisions about your hearings or informal conferences without first getting your approval.

Terrible experience

This law firm was recommended by For the Veteran who were helping me with a PTSD claim I had. They were cordial and friendly when I first contacted them and then once I signed the contract it was like I didn’t exist. I would call during business hours and get a message saying, I needed to call during... business hours. My call was during business hours EST, but they didn’t answer. Once I was notified by the VA of my C&P exam I contacted them. They never needed to back with me till two days before the exam, although they did send me emails saying I needed to schedule a conference to help with the exam. Repeat calls gave me some gentlemen. I did not get his name who was absolutely rude to me. When I finally did get an email to schedule a conference for the C&P exam, the schedule they gave me. Was for the day after the exam. I did end up winning the appeal but, quite honestly believe it had nothing to do with this firm. Which I believe did nothing other then file paperwork, just took over $7000 from me for no reason at all on my opinion. If you’re going to need a lawyer, find one who will actually take your money and help you, not just take your money.

Lack of communication

They started out as a food firm to use but that changed real quick. This place film claims with the VA and didn't communicate and i would have to follow up with them and the VA on what was going on. I would have to notify the firm when the VA denied my claims.
