Sam Moore has successfully litigated, at the trial level, misdemeanor and felony cases in a diverse range of matters. Mr. Moore’s practice is enhanced by his experience in the courtroom and a broad range of experiences outside the legal field.
He has counseled and advised clients through substantive legal issues involving criminal law, civil litigation, military law, family law, and consumer protection law. He provides his clients with broad and substantial legal experience.
Through his seven years as a United States Marine Corps Judge Advocate, he litigated an array of misdemeanor and felony courts-martial. He also spent three years as an appellate counsel in Washington, D.C., handling a full case load and managing nine appellate attorneys in their case development.
Mr. Moore developed curriculum and frequently taught advanced criminal justice courses to military prosecutors in California, Rhode Island, and Washington, DC. He also spent six months in Afghanistan as Rule of Law Adviser, working with Afghan attorneys, investigators, and judges to help foster an active justice system in Eastern Afghanistan.
Outside of the courtroom, he participates in numerous charity and fundraising activities in the Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia communities. He remains committed to the community through his pro bono activity and he continues to serve in the military as a United States Marine Corps reservist.
Mr. Moore graduated from the University of Richmond School of Law, cum laude, in 2006, and from the University of Florida with a B.A. in history in 2003. He also studied history at the University of Cambridge, England.
