I decided to start a clothing business. I came up with a meaningful name and a logo that was the perfect representation of my company. So, I decided to trademark the name and logo on my own. I began creating different designs for the brand and even reached out to a few vendors to start placing my ord...ers. Then boom! I received a letter from the USPTO notifying me that someone else has a similar name and similar logo. I’d already fallen in love with the name and logo and I wasn’t willing to let it go. But this was my first time starting a business, so I didn’t know what to do or where to even start. I started looking for an attorney. Every attorney I contacted either didn’t respond or didn’t return my phone call. I don’t remember how I stumbled across Mr. Ciaramella’s number but I’m glad I did. When I reached out to him, I instantly knew that he was going to be my attorney. I had a trademark issue, requires office action for my company. The name of my company has been used in the past by another company, which is no longer in existence. In the past, I filed and received a trademark on my own. My current trademark application received an office action, and I did not know what to do.
