I decided to start a clothing business. I came up with a meaningful name and a logo that was the perfect representation of my company. So, I decided to trademark the name and logo on my own. I began creating different designs for the brand and even reached out to a few vendors to start placing my ord...ers. Then boom! I received a letter from the USPTO notifying me that someone else has a similar name and similar logo. I’d already fallen in love with the name and logo and I wasn’t willing to let it go. But this was my first time starting a business, so I didn’t know what to do or where to even start. I started looking for an attorney. Every attorney I contacted either didn’t respond or didn’t return my phone call. I don’t remember how I stumbled across Mr. Ciaramella’s number but I’m glad I did. When I reached out to him, I instantly knew that he was going to be my attorney. Although I knew my chances of keeping the name and logo were extremely slim, his knowledge and honesty gave me hope to fight to keep the name and logo. I felt choosing him was the right decision. I never had to reach out to him first because he would consistently keep me updated on what was happening or what was to come during the process. Today I just received the fantastic news that my trademark was accepted and is entitled to registration. I’m so excited! I had a trademark issue, requires office action for my company. The name of my company has been used in the past by another company, which is no longer in existence. I went online to find an attorney to represent me. Fortunately for me, I met Mr. Francis, and after talking to him, I knew he could re...present me well, and he did.
