Francis John Ciaramella

I've had a trademark for 20 years and easily renewed it myself a few times. Suddenly, this year, the USPTO examiner declared I was missing examples! For six months I worried about what to do but had to focus on my company. Frank was one of many attorneys who sent me emails offering their services... but was the only one who kept reminding me from time to time. As the deadline approached with just a week or two to go I emailed him back. I decided to start a clothing business. I came up with a meaningful name and a logo that was the perfect representation of my company. So, I decided to trademark the name and logo on my own. I began creating different designs for the brand and even reached out to a few vendors to start placing my ord...ers. Then boom! I received a letter from the USPTO notifying me that someone else has a similar name and similar logo. I’d already fallen in love with the name and logo and I wasn’t willing to let it go. But this was my first time starting a business, so I didn’t know what to do or where to even start. I started looking for an attorney. Every attorney I contacted either didn’t respond or didn’t return my phone call. I don’t remember how I stumbled across Mr. Ciaramella’s number but I’m glad I did. When I reached out to him, I instantly knew that he was going to be my attorney. Although I knew my chances of keeping the name and logo were extremely slim, his knowledge and honesty gave me hope to fight to keep the name and logo. I felt choosing him was the right decision.
