A Great Help in a Difficult Time

This spring I was unexpectedly faced with the task of acting as personal representative for my brother who had just died. A friend who had assisted my brother through his long painful last illness recommended that I call Jan Michael Morris. I called him immediately and explained my situation. He immediately researched my brother's information and got back to me with a clear explanation of where we were and what we had to do. I called him several times with questions and concerns and got clear and complete answers. When I came to Florida, I met with him. He reviewed the case with me and I felt very comfortable with how he was handling it. He kept me informed of the process from start to finish. He found a simple correct way to settle the estate and saw it through to its conclusion. We were able to complete the case with an Order of Summary Distribution. He has offered to consult with me on any further questions about the case. I would heartily recommend him to any of my friends who needed legal assistance.

Best legal help I could get

Years ago, I used Jan Morris to advise and represent me with a non-compete I had with a former employer. Choosing Jan was the best decision I could have taken. His guidance and representation were essential at that time for the success of my newly created business. This year, my elderly mother-in-law was misled to verbally “sign” a contract that she did not understand and certainly did not need. She recently lost her husband and during that time of grief, when she was trying to make sense of all her financial responsibility. She was also receiving a tremendous number of solicitations by phone and mail. This was very confusing for her and unfortunately, during that time she committed to a contract with one of the solicitors. Jan Michael Morris graduated with honors from the University of Miami School of Law in 1986 and obtained his undergraduate Bachelor of Science Degree in Telecommunications from the University of Florida in 1983.

Business matter

Jan efficiently dealt with a business issue. One of our old landlords had secured a garnishment against us and Jan was able to resolve the matter with an excellent settlement agreement. The process was very smooth, uncomplicated and stress free. He clearly communicated different options and possible results, his advice was accurate and realistic. Thank you Jan for all the help.

Best. Decision. Ever.

If you're reading this review, you're probably like me. For whatever reason - even if through no fault of your own, you need an experienced attorney to represent you, your family, your livelihood - he's the one. I don't think I'll ever forget when I first got served; the level of angst and anxiety was through the roof. It didn't help matters that interviewing other attorneys left me bereft of confidence as they didn't see a way to navigate my case and minimize the risk and exposure to my family. Calling Jan changed EVERYTHING. The other reviews on this site are not an exaggeration. Jan knows the law, period. But it's more than that; he is fluent in the nuances of case law and comes up with defenses that frankly far exceeded my expectations. Better still, he kept us informed along the way and was the calming voice and captain in an otherwise turbulent sea. Here's the brass tax - I would willingly wager that you will not find a finer practitioner of law or champion for his clients as Jan Michael Morris. Said simply, if ever I need an attorney to represent myself, my wife or my children in the future, he is the only call I would make and I would sleep soundly knowing that everything will be taken care of. Expertise, support and understanding

The best attorney !!!

I've used different attorneys in my personal and business work, and I can tell without a doubt that Mr. Morris is the best. My case was a bit more complicated and other attorneys told me I don't have one, but Mr. Morris took our case and helped us reach a satisfactory conclusion. Thru the process, Mr. Morris showed great professionalism and knowledge. He would communicate promptly and follow up without the need to be reminded. Jan Did a great Job. He handled my prenup and was very easy to contact, He would even answer when he was on vacation. He is very good with explaining things to you in layman’s terms. Personal Injury Case 2019

My families estate and trusts.

Jan began helping me immediately after my consultation about handling my uncle's trust and estate after his passing in New Jersey. He knew exactly what to do and who to contact about my uncle's trust and explaining how to handle being a beneficiary . He stayed in constant touch and kept me up on all conversations, letters and filings and worked very well with my New Jersey Attorney. He is very honest, patient, informative and spoke to me in a way I could understand and not get lost in legal terms. Jan has also handled my mother's estate 9 years ago and was very efficient and helpful which made my mother's passing a lot easier on my family. My dad and I use him as our estate attorney too. Court Order

My son lost his mother when he was 3. Growing up in Boca Raton brings many challenges and as he turned 16 he wanted to know more about his biological mother. Being that his mothers sister lives in NC we decided to have him move in her home and attend school while living with her between now and graduation from high school. The Davie NC school district insisted we get a court order so he can attend school. Jan met with me. Wrote his submission and this morning we did get a signed order from a court in Palm Beach County, FL. This took a total of 1 hour of my time between meeting with Jan and the hearing this morning. Thanks Jan for a job WELL DONE!!!
