The reviews are poor for a reason I hired Family Law Matters Group for a family law case and after paying over $11,500 (total fees $19,000+), I was left unprepared for trial and professionally abandoned at the most critical moment. Weeks before trial, the firm suddenly claimed I owed thousands ...more, and when I questioned it, they tried to withdraw, leaving me no time to find new counsel. They admitted on record they had “no motivation” to settle because the judge denied their withdrawal. They also misrepresented my position to the court, failed to subpoena records, prevented me from presenting witnesses, and filed documents without notice. Billing included unauthorized rate increases, clerical work, and invoices that didn’t even appear in their ledger. If you want transparent billing and proactive advocacy, look elsewhere. I’ve filed a formal grievance with the Florida Bar to address these serious ethical and professional failures

I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the services provided by Nazarena Hauser and Leisa Wintz, partners at Family Matters Law Group. Their conduct has been highly unprofessional and incompetent. Despite paying for their time, they consistently failed to return calls. Nazarena Haus...er initially responded promptly before being hired, but once retained, she became unresponsive, missed appointments, and ignored emails. Leisa Wintz exhibited rude and condescending behavior, frequently lying and threatening to drop me as a client without returning the retainer when confronted. Additionally, their staff repeatedly contacted me to discuss the same information, resulting in double billing for identical work. They also charged a flat rate, claiming it would be less costly than hourly billing. However, after multiple attempts to obtain a copy of my bill, which was only provided after I threatened a complaint to the Florida Bar, it became evident that they did not perform all the work they claimed. Most of the work was completed by their staff, not the attorneys themselves. This level of service is unacceptable and reflects poorly on their professional standards.

I reside outside of Broward County and could not find an attorney that was competent enough to assist in gaining my daughter's passport considering the nature of my situation. Upon completing a google search I found Family Matters Law Group who had an entire blog post dedicated towards my exact situa...tion. I contacted them and they were actually willing to give me a template to assist me with pro-se representation. Because this had been ongoing for months and the Dept of State was unwilling to budge I felt compelled to hire them and get it over with. We encountered an issue with the judge and Nazarena, was still able to overcome that obstacle in order to get me what I needed to get my daughter's passport. Their fees were reasonable and their service exemplary.

I am writing this review because I know how difficult it can be to find the right lawyer and I want other people to know what outstanding, professional service I received with Nazarena Ocon Hauser. Let's face it, when going through a divorce, especially when a child is involved, you're emotionally an...d physically stressed, you want to hire a lawyer who will listen to your concerns and make you feel comfortable and most of all who will fight for what is fair in the 'better interest' of the child. Someone who is smart, experienced and undoubtedly familiar with family law. A lawyer who is both compassionate and professional. Ms. Hauser is all those things and more. I was being represented by another Law Firm who, in my opinion, made me feel like I was begging them for a favour, never replied to my emails in a timely manner (sometimes not at all) and prolonged my case for months. This is why, through a friend's referral, I reached out to Ms. Hauser and I have absolutely no regrets, it was one of the best decisions I have made. She was very reasonable and worked with me. She was always available and my phone calls/emails were answered promptly. She was very informative and fair. Always kept me updated and helped me understand what to expect and what not to expect. From the first moment I walked into Solaris Law Group, I was treated like a human being and not just another client. Everyone was friendly and courteous, I felt very much at ease. I was able to settle out of court which saved me a lot of money and time. What could have been prolonged for months, wasn't, thanks to Ms. Hauser. Honestly, I could write all day about her and it still wouldn't be enough to praise how outstanding she is. In essence, I not only found an amazing, kind, genuine attorney but a great friend as well. I would highly recommend her!
