Karen A. Myatt

Karen Myatt is a true professional. Back in 2003 I interviewed 3 different attorney's to represent me in my divorce. Karen's passion, sincerity, honesty and knowledge won me over. Retaining and hiring her was by far the best decision I ever made in my life. My divorce was quite unique. Karen took me... under her wing and looked after my best interests. My divorce was completed in a timely fashion. In 2007 I hired Karen once again to represent me in a child custody / child support case. Once again, she went "all out" and I now have had full custody of my children and get child support. I have considered Karen "my guardian angel" since I met her. I saw Karen for a consultation after I had already spent over $20,000 wasting six months in court in fort lauderdale. I went to see her for a second opinion. She did not see dollar signs. She solved a problem. Unlike 2 other "super" lawyers in town, she told me the truth: I did not qualify for a ...Florida divorce and the case should not have been brought there. She gave me the name of a appeals lawyer who was outstanding but recommended that I file in another state. Later she sent a note with the name of a contact in the other state who was willing to talk. I called the guy. He was happy with his lawyer. I hired that lawyer. Since then the case was filed (outside of DC) and settled. It took half the time I wasted in Florida. I recommend this lawyer for Florida divorces.

I would highly recommend Karen Myatt. She and her staff are so attentive and help you through the process. There was no exessive fees or issues, they help you get to the bottom of things quickly and help you through the process. None of the drawn out divorce process you always hear about. She is exc...ellent in all areas.

Ms. Myatt was very compassionate and understanding regarding my family transition. She fully explained the process of divorce and its possible impact upon my children, suggesting we engage the assistance of a therapist to help us through the process (which we did). Her staff listened attentively wh...en I just needed to "vent" and needed reassurance that my case was on track. It cost me over $18,000 and I still wasn't divorced at 1 1/2 years of going through the process. She never had time to explain the case with me, she was off to California everytime I needed her. She couldn't make court dates and had her husband fill in who is not a family law lawyer. She did not c...ommunicate with my ex-husbands lawyer, she was very hostile to them both. This caused many problems for me. Instead of bringing spouses together to come to a resolution, she stirred the pot and made it worse. It cost me alot of money and I was headed for court. She would not pick up the phone and call the other lawyer. I do not recommend this lawyer , she will make your situation a worse night mare.
