October 25th, 2020 My name is Karla. A few weeks ago I was at an absolute loss as to what to do about an ongoing Workman’s Comp claim due to an injury that occurred at my place of employment several months ago. When I got behind on my mortgage, I contacted my mortgage company because I knew I was in trouble and I naively thought they were going to work with me. I went to get a consultation from Mr. Hoffman and he apparently had no interest in my case, yet alone hearing it. He runs his mouth a hundred miles and hour, so I could barely get a word in, or even answer his question before he would ask the next. Then in a rather unprofessional and rude way, he straight up told me that I would not get anywhere in my claim. I informed him of all paperwork I had for my case and he didn’t bother to look at it. He just adamantly kept telling me that I had no case and that I did not appear to be in the condition that I mentioned. You must be a special kind of ignorant to really think that all you have to do is look at a person and be able to determine their ailments. Thank God he’s not a doctor and just a lawyer. His determinations are just opinions, and carries no fact-based analysis. The consultation was not a consultation, but rather than him dominating the conversation and making it seem like I was out to get money. If you want to feel belittled while you are trying to discuss claim options (and constantly being cut-off) then this is the lawyer for you.
