Steve Rossi

Steve Rossi has been a member of the Florida Bar for nearly four decades. He has extensive experience in school and education law and has represented the Broward Teachers Union (BTU) as its local legal counsel. The Broward Teachers Union is the 2nd-largest teachers union in the state and is located in the 6th-largest school district in the country. Mr. Rossi has handled a wide range of teacher-related cases involving both civil and criminal matters. He has also presented numerous lectures and workshops focusing on school and education law and teacher liability issues. In addition, he was an annual instructor for the Broward County School District’s New Teacher Orientation Program, where he discussed legal and liability matters affecting educators.
Mr. Rossi has also been recognized as a Board-Certified Criminal Trial Attorney. Certification is the highest level of recognition by The Florida Bar for competency and experience in areas of law approved for certification by the Supreme Court of Florida.
Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Rossi served as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (F.B.I.), where he worked in both the New York and Miami field offices investigating civil and criminal matters.
He also served as a prosecutor with the Broward County State Attorney’s Office. During his tenure, Mr. Rossi received several accolades, including recognition for conducting the most jury trials on two separate occasions. While with the State Attorney’s Office, he prosecuted both misdemeanor and felony cases.
