Disappointed and Taken Advantage Of

I write this with a heavy heart as I dont often post bad reviews - but if you’re considering hiring him please think twice. I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience with Rachamin “Rocky” Cohen. The fee arrangement for “guidance” on personal bankruptcy was presented as $1,750 for five ho...urs per person, later consolidated to $3,000 for both me and my partner. That clearly implied five hours each, not five hours total. After only one 45-minute call for me and one 45 minute call for my partner, I was charged $1,000—far beyond what was fair or agreed upon. When I requested a refund, Cohen initially agreed, but weeks of delays followed. Despite repeated follow-ups, the refund was not processed promptly, and I was later told the balance had “dwindled” to $2,000, which I found deceptive. I never sent any documents for review, and our only discussions were verbal, totaling 45 minutes. Claims to the contrary were false. This all took place during an extremely trying time for me and my partner, while we were in the middle of a business bankruptcy and serious financial struggles, doing our best to get back on our feet. Instead of receiving the professional help we expected, we felt taken advantage of—like we had handed over money to a dishonest entity that only made things worse at a time when we were already down and vulnerable. Only now, after all of this, did I learn that filing a personal bankruptcy in Florida typically costs between $1,000–$4,000. Knowing that, it’s even clearer how badly we were ripped off. The lack of timely communication, shifting explanations, and resistance to honoring a refund created unnecessary stress and wasted time. As a client, I found Cohen’s conduct unprofessional, misleading, and lacking integrity. I would not recommend this attorney based on my experience.

Bankruptcy Law Firm

Mr. Cohen saved my home when other attorneys were telling me to surrender saying I had no chance of saving my home. Prompt responses to questions and always professional. Thank you for being there during my most stressful times.

Best Decision

Bankruptcy isn’t an easy decision, but calling Rocky was. Recently when I found myself in a very troubled financial situation left with no foreseeable way out, a close friend recommended Rocky to me as possible solution to my crisis. I was lost and nervous when met Rocky. Right away he was able to ...put my mind to ease and before I knew it, I was on my way to make a new start to my life. It was easy to meet with him and he was always available to answer all my questions. Rocky has an incredible balance between knowledge, professionalism and kindness. Calling him was an easy decision and one of my best!
