David Jonathon Joffe

I hired Mr Joffe back in 2011. From our first meeting he put my mind at ease and made me feel comfortable. Out of all my co-defendants I was the only one granted bail. He met with me and and my wife weekly to update us on the progress of the case. He was able to get me the best possible outcome for m...y case. About a year or so ago I was under investigation by the ATF for several firearms related offenses. I Initially hired a different attorney, who in my opinion, did little to nothing about my case, causing me to get charged with 16 federal firearms offences, all of which were felonies. At this point my ...life took a turn for the worse as I was definitely about to face a lengthy federal prison time. Fortunately a family friend referred David to us. From the moment I hired David Joffe, he was by my side every single step of the way (and still is). During pre-trial he was able to get me out on bond without any electronic monitoring or curfew(which was requested by the prosecution). He was able to file numerous motions for me to travel, all of which got approved. However, being charged with over 16 federal felonies, I was definitely still looking at doing time in federal prison. To make matters worse, I had the toughest Federal Judge of the Florida Southern District. At this point I was getting everything in order to spend at least a few years away from my family. I was devastated, as were my loved ones. For about 6 months leading up to the date of my sentencing David was there for me and my loved ones every step of the way. No promises were made, but he handled my case very professionally one step at a time. We met almost on a weekly basis for updates on the case. At this point it became clear to me that David was very well connected within the federal system. I had a feeling he was on very good terms with both prosecutors and federal judges, highly respected, even though he never mentioned that to me. About 2 months prior to sentencing David was able to drop down my charges from 16 to just 4 felonies by entering a plea. I was now only looking at about 2-3 years in federal prison. David told me that he would work out a strategy to get that reduced. I then offered to pay more money; David refused. At this point I left everything in David and God's hand. At the day of sentencing is when the miracle happened. David tactfully picked and questioned a group of people speaking on my behalf. Furthermore he was able to give the court the most convincing speech that I have ever heard. David made everything seem to flow so natural. As the judge was about to reveal my sentence it was as if time stood still.. and then the miracle happened. My sentence was REDUCED to just PROBATION WITHOUT electronic monitoring(NO Jail time!). I have no words to describe my joy that day. Till today many people at the probation office tell me how lucky I am. As for David, he will not only be an attorney I hired. He will be a friend for life, to both me and my family. What he did for me was priceless. A true professional who knows the Federal system inside and out. The only regret that I have, is that I did not hire David Joffe earlier in my investigation.

Atty. David Joffe is a true mensch. I won the trial of my life because Atty. David defended me. I have been charged by the Department of Education with the Department of Homeland Security. It was a "David and Goliath" battle and just like the story in the bible, we ended victorious! To God be the Glo...ry!
