Nora Maria Rotella

I hired Nora Rotella at the very beginning of an stressful DV case to assist me with filling for divorce so both cases could go together and be tried by the same judge. I read other reviews here and I'm very surprised by them. My experience was the worst. It was impossible to get in touch with her wh...en I had a question or concern. When she would call me three days later the attitude was horrible, very condescending and rude. My case can de summarized easily: I brought my ex-husband to the US, had a child with him, sold my own apartment and then got a house while legally married, he got into drugs and became aggressive and didn't and doesn't care for our child on the minimum, but left the house and found a civil attorney to extort money from the house from me. At the beginning she was supportive (even though the communication was lacking) and her office staff requested documents and forms that I diligently delivered in a timely matter. After a month her attitude changed for the worst. In my most forgiving days I like to think she got intimidated by opposing counsel. She, then, started to call me repeatedly to make me increase the only offer I could make (monetary) for the house based on a loan I was securing from friends (no bank would lend me money after a mountain of debt my ex-husband's addiction has left me in). She gave me no hope, started referring to the father of my child in a sweet manner, even though he had no communication with us at all since he left the house and hasn't ever again. When I was at my lowest point, very desperate, I consulted with a different attorney that advised me I was late filling a bunch of mandatory documents I had given Nora's office and others I wasn't even aware I had to file. All in all, the worst experience. I even gathered evidence of non communication in order to report her to the Florida Bar but didn't because my attorney at the time dissuade me telling me that she must have been intimidated and acted that way because she was out of her depth. A couple of months after, I was talking to a friend of mine that went through a difficult divorce case two years prior and telling her about my experience with her, not naming names and he asked me directly if I was talking about Nora Rotella. He had a similar experience with her and fired her for it. So, I'm not even alone. She's lucky none of us have the time to report her. I won't recommend her to anyone. This is my way of venting and try to prevent others to go through the same experience I did. Btw... my case was successfully completed a few days ago with full custody and no money to my ex-husband.

Nora Rotella and her team represented me these past 2 years in my divorce/child custody battle. I have not enough words to express all my gratitude to Nora and her wonderful team, but particularly to Nora herself. Not only she managed to achieve a great result in my divorce case, but she also helped me with the minor details of the separation and dealt with my ex-spouse last-minute requirements... from a personal stand point. Nora is a great professional, always care and supportive. She gave me the best of the advice every time while letting me make the decisions. We worked side by side very hard to achieve a great agreement. We marked a plan and she accomplished all the steps in between until the final and successful outcome of my case. I’ve heard terrifying stories about attorneys. For being my first time I hire a lawyer, my experience couldn’t be better. Nora calmed me when I needed, encouraged me to deliver all the info she needed when she needed, listened to me and always replied by phone, by texts, by emails… She was always there for me with the appropriate feedback or just simply listening. The only thing I’m sorry is that I will, hopefully, never hire Nora again. One day she told me ‘never get married again’, and those words were engraved with fire letters in my mind. She was reading my mind at the very moment!!! Nora, why don’t you change your area of expertise so I could hire you again? Well, I guess that’s not easy. Meanwhile, I will blindfold recommend her to any relative or friend. A 1,000%!!!
