My husband and I fronted $100 for an immigration consultation. We changed our appointment from 1 PM to 4 PM so that it wasn’t in the middle of both of our workdays. No one followed up with us and kept us waiting for 35 minutes after the 4 PM appointment. I had wasted enough time waiting and had a wor...k meeting in the following ten minutes so I canceled and had planned rescheduling. Kenia, the girl on thr phone assured us we would get our money back as no service was provided. Shortly afterwards we received a catty and rude text from the company saying that “they didnt want to work with us as we weren’t the type of client they wanted anyway”. Is it because we are gay? Are we being discriminated against?? We were polite and kind the entire time. Nothing to have warrented such a harsh response.

First of all. I am not someone who reviews people online. However when some one willfully takes my money and doesn’t provide a service, I will review them. Maybe this way you don’t get swindled like us. I hired me Funes to help with a k1 visa. He talked himself up and gave a great initial consu...lt and meeting. We hired him. Paid him upfront as a retainer. This is a process that neither I or my fiancée knew anything about. The office as awful at communicating anything regarding paperwork needed. It wasn’t until we would call that they would ask for certain things. Regardless. About 2 months where wasted on the “submission” of the. We see things. Let’s just leave that as of it was our fault. However after all was submitted and after 6 months I called for a status update. He has no clue about anything on my case. Furthermore, Nothing had even been submitted on our behalf! Wasted months. Hired a new Lawfirm. Asked for a refund from the Funes group and was told he was not going to refund anything. Asked for an itemized bill from with he could deduct his and his staff time from. Was never sent. He spent a total of ZERO hours working on my case. His staff maybe spent 45 minutes of time organizing a file. It was NEVER submitted. Furthermore, he charged me to submit a FOIA. And submitted (supposedly) the wrong version of it. Can’t be further displeased with everything about how our case was handled. More than anything the wasted time. And to have him tell you “we won’t refund any amount” of the money we sent for services never provided.... is just awful I’m in the process of making a formal Complaint with the florida state bar. Stay away from this firm and Daniel Funes
