Biography
Divorce and family law attorney and Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator, Maritza Estevez-Pazos, is the founder of Estevez-Pazos Law Firm, P.A. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 2003 where she graduated Cum Laude.
Since 2004, Ms. Estevez-Pazos has been practicing exclusively in the area of Marital and Family Law representing clients in divorce proceedings, post-judgment modification actions, paternity cases and the drafting and negotiation of premarital agreements and postnuptial agreeents. In addition, Ms. Estevez-Pazos has served as mediator in numerous family cases resulting in successful conflict resolution, and has represented a great number of clients who desire to stay out of court in the amicable resolution of their cases, either in a pre-filing setting, mediation or by way of negotation of settlement agreement in a amicable divorce or cooperative divorce proceeding. Her approach is to be resolution oriented. She is also a member of the Collaborative Family Law Institute. Ms. Estevez-Pazos is a member of the Family Section of the Florida Bar and has been recognized for excellence as one of Florida’s Outstanding Lawyers by her peers. She has also been recognized as a Florida Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2012 and 2013, and as a Florida Super Lawyer every year since 2014 through the present. Ms. Estevez-Pazos has also been a guest instructor at the University of Miami School of Law, has received the Martindale-Hubbell AV-Preeminent Rating from her peers in the legal community.

Honest, professional practice
