Marcia Christina Hansen

Marcia Giordano Hansen has been a member of the South Florida legal community for the past fifteen years. Her wealth of trial experience and legal expertise was developed through her years as an Assistant Public Defender and Litigator in private practice.

As an Assistant Public Defender, Mrs. Hansen personally handled hundreds of cases wherein she represented a broad spectrum of clients accused of criminal defense cases ranging from traffic offenses to murder. She obtained an impressive trial record, while at the same time established solid relationships and earned the respect of various judges, prosecutors, court personnel and members of the defense bar.

In private practice, Mrs. Hansen represented large insurance companies such as AIG and American Empire, as well as reputable businesses, such as Del Monte. Additionally, she represented criminal clients accused of committing white collar crimes such as medicare fraud, tax evasion, passport fraud and money laundering. Mrs. Hansen was exposed to protracted litigation, wherein she personally handled the discovery process, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, settlement and trial.

Her participation in the South Florida legal community does not stop at the courthouse. She is an avid participating member in the Miami Dade Women’ Chamber of Commerce, The Miami Dade County Bar Association, The Florida Association of Women Lawyers, and Femfessionals. She also donates her time to the Ensuring Equal Justice Initiative spearheaded by the Miami Dade Public Defender’s Office wherein she represents indigent clients on a pro-bono basis.
