I worked with Dabdoub Law Firm after years of struggling with New York Life Group over both short- and long-term disability claims, and the experience has been exceptional. Nina took on a complicated situation involving multiple denials across two different claims and two different years, and she han...dled it with a level of precision and commitment that I simply could not get from the insurance carrier. In 2023, I was off work from January through August due to COVID and the severe breathing issues that followed. By late March, I had been diagnosed with severe asthma and had only about 60% lung capacity. I started multiple inhalers and a biologic treatment that can take months to take effect. Despite all of this, NYLG stopped paying my claim in April 2023 based on their internal medical review, insisting I could return to a physically demanding job. My 2025 claim became even more complex. I have been out of work since January dealing with a full cluster of Long COVID symptoms, including persistent respiratory issues, neurological problems, and chronic fatigue that make consistent work impossible.
