Shawn Reid

Shawn Reid represented me during my contested divorce proceedings. He was totally considerate of my needs, the epitome of courteousness, respectful and understanding of my needs as a disabled individual. I would highly recommend him to friends, family & anyone who requires superior legal representati...on. Mr. Reid has earned my trust and gratitude.

I am reposting this review, because Avvo initially approved this and then took it down, so I will try to adhere to the review guidelines. Please note that the initial review was dated from July 2014. Mr. Reid did not do a good job representing us. He told us things that were not true. For example, he... stated that we, the grandparents of the child, could gain custody of the child, over the biological parents. After we paid for Mr. Reid's services and went to court the judge immediately dismissed the case. Also Mr. Reid refused to return any of our phone calls (far less for our money). Therefore, for his lack of knowledge and questionable work ethics, I cannot recommend Mr. Reid to anyone.

Attorney Reid has guided me through the divorce process with an impossible ex husband. He has proven himself to be empathetic, professional and a man of integrity. He listened to my needs and gave me honest and realistic advice. He is not an attorney who is always watching the clock. Even thou...gh he had a calming presence with me, his client, Attorney Reid was a fighter, and stood strong getting the best possible outcome. He has a tough, no nonsense approach and was not afraid to stand up for what was right in court. His strategies proved that he understands the mentalities and processes involved and could almost predict each court appearance outcome based on his years of experience. I felt very confident going up against my ex with Attorney Reid by my side. I have highly recommended Mr. Reid to my friends and family and will continue to do so.
