Don, a graduate of Vanderbilt Law School in 2007, started his career with a mid-size firm in Orlando. Arriving in Orlando and starting out his law career has been a blessing for Don and his family.
In 2008, using his entrepreneurial spirit, Don ventured out with another attorney to begin learning the community association law practice from the ground up. A year later, looking for more in his career path, Don joined an established community association law firm where he helped to significantly expand the business based on his past relationships. In 2013, armed with a portfolio of satisfied clients built over the years, Don felt the time was right to establish DHN Attorneys.
Don relates this success primarily to his persistence in reaching out directly to community association managers and fostering personal connections which has then led to new client relationships. This persistent hard work, whether setting up the entire infrastructure of a volume practice or personally sending statutory letters by certified mail, is the same work ethic Don will bring to you or your company. The positive responses received from professionals in the community association industry are, in large part, the reason for the growth in his business. Effective communication with a diverse clientele with competing interests, as may happen with board members, is vital. Don’s ability to communicate well with people and his genuine and honest connection with his clients has been a hallmark of his personal style that is refreshing in the business world of today. Don appreciates his long-term relationships with his clients, communicates clearly, and maps out alternatives for his clients in an honest, forthright way.
Since the early days of 2008-2013, seeing how other firms work, Don realized the importance of using technology to create a paperless office and deliver greater efficiencies to his clients. The use of technology to gain an advantage resonates with many of the younger entrepreneurs Don works with who have opened restaurants, expanded a growing medical practice, invested in real estate, or started a variety of other businesses. Many of his entrepreneurial clients, like him, are first or second generation immigrants, and he is uniquely positioned to offer guidance and advice based on his own first-hand experience..
Don’s strengths are his communication skills, honesty, positivity, accessibility and trustworthiness. Being a team player is important to Don demonstrated by his philosophy to make team building in the office and with his clients a priority.

Rusten Hurd, Real estate Attorney on Feb 19, 2016
Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community
Mr. Nguyen is one of the best lawyers I have ever come into contact with in my 18 years of practice. Not only is he insightful and experienced, but he has an incredible ability to perceive the potential issues associated with a matter and immediately address them to avoid the potential for issues down the line. Also, he is an individual with a solid moral compass and a man who values family and community. I could not recommend him more strongly. If I was looking for counsel in the real estate context I would look first to Mr. Nguyen.
