Client has a 10 year-old child living in another state with his ex-spouse. Client was only allowed to see the child during holidays and summer vacation time. Client wanted to petition the court to inc ... rease his parenting time with the child. Client also complained that ex-spouse was alienating the child from client. At the conclusion of trial, the Judge issued an order allowing the child to move out of the state with my Client.

Client's ex-husband was ordered to pay child support in the amount of $2,500 per month. Husband moved to another state and did not comply with his child support payment. Husband who owned his own busin ... ess, claimed that business was slow and that $2,500 per month was way to much and must be modified to no more than $500 per month. After 7 years, client hired me and we were able to hire an investigator and determine that ex-husband was making approximately $450,000 dollars per year. At the end of the trial, the Judge Ordered husband to pay more than $2,500 per month in child support plus the Judge Ordered Husband to pay $195,000 in child support arrears and granted my request to have Husband pay all of the attorney's fees and costs.

OUTCOME: Judge granted all of Robin's requests

Robin and his then wife adopted a child while Robin was working out of the country (Wife was living in the United States). After the adoption was finalized, Robin decided to move back to States. The p ... rocess of moving back took two years (closing down the business and moving to a new location in the United States was not as easy as the parties thought). Once in the states (within few weeks), Wife filed for divorce and asked the court to grant her full custody of the child. I had the pleasure of representing Robin in this case. After a court battle that lasted 7 months, we were able to finalize the divorce with Robin receiving an equal share of the parenting time.
