Mr. Terry received his A.B. degree, Magna Cum Laude, in 1973 from Duke University, and his J.D. in 1976 from Florida State University. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1981. As a member of the Florida Bar, he was Chair of Grievance Committee C for the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida in 1996, a member of the Rules and Forms Committee from 1996 to 1997, a member of the Legislation Committee from 1997 to 1998, and a member of the sections on trial lawyers, family law, and criminal law. He is also a member of the Orange County Bar Association, the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, and the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Mr. Terry served as a law clerk for the Honorable Charles R. Scott of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the Honorable Warren L. Jones of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and a staff law clerk for the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. He has also served as an Assistant State's Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida from 1984-1993.
