Before you even start looking for an attorney I would read this page from the American Bar Association What if I am Unhappy with my Lawyer? It explains some ethical duties of attorneys. I retained Mr. Wentz to sue an ex landlord who wrongfully withheld part of my damage deposit. At first he see...med as if he was a good communicator but that ended after he got my deposit. Check his agreement carefully, mine stated that the deposit is assumed to be fully earned when received, so apparently if you give him a large deposit and you settle the next day you are out your entire deposit. You can check that with him. Additionally, the agreement has a clause where he can hire various experts. I guess that I would expect to be consulted before doing so but in my case he had to hire another attorney to say that his charges were reasonable. He likes to remind you often that he has thirty years of experience, one would think that is enough experience to convince a judge that his fees were reasonable without having to hire an “expert”. He told me that my case should be between $2500 and $3000, but could be more. It ended up being around $9000 see my review on BBB.com for the numbers presented to the judge which is a story in and of itself. During the second attempt (see the full story on fee hearings on yelp.com) to hold an attorneys fee hearing. He had to tell the judge while we were before him, and the defendants attorney failed to show up that he hadn't filed the correct paperwork so this was a failed attempt. After we left the court room I told him I was not pleased that these hearings kept getting pushed back as the additional coordination with the court and the defendant's attorney just added to my cost. He then shook his finger in my face and told me that anytime he could accommodate a fellow attorneys schedule he would do that. Not the answer I was expecting to get from someone I was paying $300/hr to represent me AND do so at the lowest possible cost. Now it appears he feels he is worth $350/hr, not in my book. You can decide for yourself. See my other reviews on BBB.com, yelp.com and google.com (you have to use google maps find the office and click on it).

I am sorry that you feel you were not represented properly. However, I am not certain why you are unhappy as you received every bit of relief you had requested. We had an excellent result in the Court proceeding and you received all of your attorney fees reimbursed to you from the opposing party. I even discounted some fees so you would not be responsible for any fees. You had every penny of attorney fee you incurred reimbursed to you through the legal process, just as I advised you would happen. Normally a client would be excited at such a result. As in any legal proceedings there are unfortunate delays and most of the delays in your case were the result of the opposing counsel. However, after diligent work and commitment to your case the incredible result was obtained on your behalf.

Great Lawyer

We first met Aaron when our son was hit and killed by a hit and run driver. When we received the check made out to his estate, we couldn't cash the check. We luckily stumbled upon Aaron by chance. He not only set up an estate for our son but was instrumental in settling everything to our satisfactio...n, we later hired him to write our will as well. We highly recommend his services to anyone in need

Grateful for their Support During My Divorce

I had my first consultation with Kelly Simon in December 2024, and she took the time to clearly explain how the divorce process works. By January 2025, I decided to move forward and hired Wentz & Simon to represent me. From the very beginning, their professionalism and knowledge gave me confidence in... such a stressful and uncertain time. After filing, my ex was served in February, and thanks to Aaron Wentz’s guidance, we were able to establish a temporary agreement for 50/50 custody of my daughter starting in March. This arrangement carried us through until our mediation in July, where Aaron Wentz truly stood out as my advocate. He fought for me in a respectful and effective manner, ensuring I kept 50/50 custody as well as protecting my military retirement and other important assets. The divorce process overall took a little over six months, mostly due to the court and mediation backlog. However, because of Aaron’s experience and skill, we were able to resolve everything fairly in mediation without the need to wait even longer for a judge. My divorce was finalized in August 2025, and I am very satisfied with the outcome. Divorce is never easy, and it’s certainly not cheap, but I am convinced that choosing this firm was worth every penny. I truly believe I would not have achieved the same results had I gone with a cheaper route. Aaron Wentz and Kelly Simon handled my case with professionalism, empathy, and determination from start to finish. I highly recommend Wentz & Simon to anyone going through a family law matter.

Stay Away!

Horrible firm for child custody and establishing timesharing. Had worst case results on two different cases hiring them. Been 2 years since they represented me and still having to go back to court for them being careless. If you really want someone who will fight for you choose someone else. This w...as the first firm I’ve ever had to hire for anything so it wasn’t until after hiring new counsel I realized how much time/money was wasted…in addition to general carelessness you can expect some other things… -this firm makes you take time to go into office to sign for all documents - New firm uses digital signatures/docusign -the paralegal they have is disrespectful when she talks to you- New firm is much more personable -unnecessary charges for alleged phone calls, emails, etc They racked up easily $10k in charges RESPONSE TO FIRM: I did reach out to this firm multiple times to discuss and they do not respond. This guy is a joke Save your money and look elsewhere.

Best Attorney in Town

September 2024 Aaron Wentz PA and his team have managed several cases for me and my family from 2010 to the current case brought by my ex-wife. Aaron and his team helped guide my current wife and I, in gathering all our information related to our case, not just once but several times due to the la...ck of understanding from the ex-wife’s attorney. After 18 months of going back and forth with DFAS and other government agencies, Aaron and everyone on his team went above and beyond to get all allegations of contempt dropped again me. I could not have found a better team to secure my future, job, and finances from my ex-wife. They walked me through every aspect of my case and never let me down. I highly recommend Aaron Wentz PA and his team. Kelly Simmon, Katherine Sharp, and Alex Wentz are genuine attorneys and paralegals who will do what is in your best interest. While I hope to never need them again, I will never hesitate to reach out to them.
