Attorney Lauren Merritt is not your average attorney. She’s a compassionate, empathetic person who just happens to double as an attorney. From our very first interaction and throughout the entire probate process for my mom, Attorney Merritt has been absolutely amazing. Often times people will “sell” ...their service during the initial consultation; telling you just what they know you want to hear to get your business. This is already a difficult time in the lives of clients who seek her service, so the last thing you want is to feel as though you’re being taken advantage of as you embark on a very complicated and emotional journey of settling an estate. I can not think of one time where I reached out with a question or concern and did not receive a response. Not only does Attorney Merritt personally respond, she generally does so within a few hours, but never exceeding a day. All of this from a mom, with her youngest being under the age of one. This has been a challenging time for us as a family, but having Attorney Merritt at the helm of the legal matters has truly been a blessing. I’ll admit, in the beginning I thought “closing” out moms affairs would be as simple as reaching out to the utility company informing them of her passing. Pretty simple especially since mom didn’t have much. It goes without saying; I was wrong! There’s no way I would’ve been able to navigate the waters on my own. At every step, Attorney Merritt detailed what she was doing, and made sure I had a clear understanding and not once being condescending. Although I wish I didn’t need her service, I am thankful for the professional, affordable and compassionate service provided to us by Attorney Lauren Merritt.

Ms. Merritt recently represented my sister and I as co-executors of our Mother's will during the probate process in Santa Rosa County. She was professional, responsive and kind.
