Biography
Clay H. Whittaker joined Emmanuel Sheppard & Condon in 2021. Clay is a Shareholder with the firm and primarily works in construction litigation. Clay became a Florida board-certified specialist in Construction Law in 2016 and he litigates and provides transactional assistance for developers, owners, design professionals, contractors, and subcontractors.
Clay is also the founder and owner of Gulf Coast Adoptions, PLLC. Since 2017, Gulf Coast Adoptions has assisted adoptive individuals, couples, and families grow their families through adoption. Clay primarily handles newborn adoptions, but also provides assistance with identified, relative, and stepparent adoptions.
He is licensed in Florida, Alabama and Texas. Clay handles matters in both state and federal courts.
Clay is a Florida native and earned his undergraduate degree in Construction Management from the M.E. Rinker Sr. School at the University of Florida. He later earned his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College School of Law, located in St. Petersburg, Florida.
