Would Not Rehire or Recommend

Would I hire Jill again or recommend her to anyone? No. Pros Jill did not take legal action or make legal decisions based on emotions. Jill focused on being fair and logical in every legal action and decision regarding my case. Cons Jill and her office missed the mark on three separate occas...ions in areas of communication and professionalism. The final straw involved Jill: 1. missing a deadline for a request for production from the other party’s attorney 3. not filing documents when she said she would 4. not responding to communications or following up regarding my case for the above listed items I provided Jill with the documents she needed well in advance of the deadline she requested of me and well in advance of the legal deadline. She gave no inclination that she was not going to be able to make the deadline. I attempted several times throughout the month to contact her to ensure she would file the documents and meet the deadline but she ultimately did not. She did not apologize about missing the deadline and did not give any explanation why she missed the deadline. On top of all that, she was unprofessional when addressing a billing discrepancy. As a consumer, when you pay (a lot and on time) for a service you have certain expectations. Jill missed the mark on a lot but I appreciate her work with my case.

Great Lawyer

I have hired Jill on three separate cases involving child custody. Each time she not only won the cases but slammed dunked them. Jill was very thorough in every aspect of the case. She did her homework and made difficult cases very easy to win. Each of these case were complex and extremely challengi...ng. On each occasion she made her counterpart look unprepared. I would highly recommend her for any cases she is qualified to handle, especially cases involving children and the custody of children. Jill and her staff could not have been nicer. Jill and her staff were very professional with me and my family. They answered every question we had. She truly cared about our cases, and it showed in her presentation each time. She's a great lawyer.

Very Disappointed

Everything about my case sounded positive until the hearing. Jill represented me poorly. I lost big, with my ex-wife being awarded enormous stipulations for a short term marriage. To Jill seemed professional to keep you at a distance. After working on my case for awhile she no longer seemed as motiva...ted or genuinely interested. After my hearing she was quick to no longer assist me and was not sympathetic. I am very disappointed in her performace, attitude, and handling (bungling) of my case.

Extremely Competent Attorney

First I want to say the Ms. Warren took over my case from another local attorney who was not honest, trustworthy, or competent. My final hearing was scheduled only 60 or so days away and she never even flinched about it. My experience with Ms. Warren from the beginning was professional, courteous..., and ethical at all times. There was never a moment I felt out of the loop with my case due to the excellent communication from both her and her paralegal, Kim Plant. this was not the case with my first attorney. Ms. Warren took the time to understand my case and its dynamics, utilizing multiple communication avenues due to my being located out of state and approximately 900 miles away. We met the day prior to the hearing and she was excellent with not only preparing me for the process but also giving me realistic expectations as to what might happen. She answered all my questions thoroughly and consistently. On the day of my hearing, Ms. Warren displayed her incredible litigation skills by executing a complete plan of response to the divorce petition filed against me. She also was able to do it in a respectful and professional demeanor toward my (ex)wife throughout the proceeding. I would highly recommend Ms. Warren for any case especially family law and/or divorce.

Disappointed

Jill Warren was recommended as an Attorney Ad Litem for my stepdaughter during a custody/visitation dispute between my husband and his ex-wife. After reading reviews of her, we were expecting an unbiased, professional and intelligent report. However, the lack of attention she gave to our case left us... surprised and disappointed. After receiving her full fee, she never returned any of the calls or messages from our attorney regarding the case; this went on for nearly two weeks. Ms. Warren crammed the entire report and all interviews into 4 days. She started on a Monday and submitted her final report that Friday. Her phone interview with one of our witnesses was beyond unacceptable. The witness called us afterward and said that, throughout the conversation, Ms. Warren was distracted and all over the board, seeming completely lost and confused as to why the the interview was taking place. If Ms. Warren had read the information from our attorney, she would have known why her own staff arranged this interview. Her report consisted of a copy of her notes that had innumerable inaccuracies as well as a brief recommendation that contradicted her own opinion (repeatedly mentioned in the notes). Furthermore, the notes revealed her personal feelings. She left us with the overwhelming impression that she had allowed her recommendation of our situation to be swayed by the fact that she is a mother of two. Ms. Warren's words appeared to be based upon mudslinging and lies while leaving out important, supporting facts. She focused on the opinions of one another (the adults) and overlooked the good of the child. She neglected to include the child's repeated requests, even pleas, to see more of her father. Instead, she remained intent on defending the mother's jealousy issues and efforts to replace the biological father with a new husband. Ms. Warren did not put forth any visible effort to include facts which were necessary to make a well-rounded and well-thought-out conclusion. Perhaps, she was stretched thin with clients and juggling her job while being an active and involved mother. This is not a criticism as I value the hard efforts of all mothers, working or otherwise. However, our case seemed to have fallen through the cracks of her workload. No matter, she was distracted and unprofessional. To make things worse, Ms. Warren made bold and curious statements about her concern for the relationship between my stepdaughter and her new stepfather. My distraught husband called her about this open-ended accusation to which she did not give any further explanation. As one might imagine, this has adversely affected my husband's peace of mind with regard to his daughter's well-being, particularly when she is away from him during her visits to the other household. I feel my husband is owed an apology and the return of his $1,500 fee as Ms. Warren did not fulfill her end of the agreement. If you want someone who will pursue the truth and stress facts, Jill Warren is not whom I would recommend. She lacks the experience and attention needed when a young child's best interest and safety is paramount.
