he was my lawyer for 5 years for a medical malpractice lawsuit started out great than after 3 years could not get much done from him he kept stating good case to go to trial to win then things changed did not get much info from him on case slowing started to dwindle drag me out 5 years and than inf...ormed me about if we loose what it would cost me never talked about this because he keep saying going to trial because my lawsuit against doctor looked great had a great trail lawyer and drs lawyer was I admit was tough but keep telling me good case to go to trial well than sudden he reminder me about cost of loosing which than scared me and I dropped case would never give explanation on why not going to trial just keep saying what the cost would be if we lost so I gave up. to scared to proceed after all these years I now was not going to trial and would never see any compensation for me against the dr who screwed my foot up so I do not recommend anybody proceed with grife law firm.

I would highly recommend Jay to anyone! Jay is an intelligent, compassionate person. Jay handled my case in a timely fashion with intelligenence and compassion. I am in the process of trying to collect two judgment awards in civil cases here in central fl. I have gone as far as I could go on my own in order to collect the debts. I sought out legal advise online and came across this site "Avvo". I wrote out my problem and received responses from several lawye...rs. Most of which told me that my cases were not worth pursuing and basically I should get a life. Attorney Mark Theodore Tischhauser has referred to me as a "starry eyed lay person who rely upon the courts to resolve their disputes........." I also posted a thank you response and Mr. Tischhauser's reply was as quote "Being thankful or gracious does little to overcome the often poor financial and legal decision making fueled by stubborn determination and the emotion of a self determined righteous cause." He also stated that a lawyer knows whether it's worth it or not to pursue a judgment. Was this supposed to be helpful or was I reprimanded for my inquiry? I was under the impression that this is the purpose of 'Avvo'. Seeking legal advice and possibly hiring a lawyer. Mind you, I never mentioned the amounts of the judgments or if I sued a person or a business. I basically said that I won judgments in civil matters, filed some motions that were denied and need advise on how to pursue. Out of the different responses that I received only one was on the positive note. Jay Grife was the only attorney that had an encouraging response. He is the only one who has taken the time to guide me in suggesting alternative options. I was beginning to feel that obtaining my judgments are hopeless. Since my income is low I have been trying to file all motions on my own to no avail. I just need a little guidance on what my next best options are. Mr. Grife made me feel that there is still hope. He didn't ridicule or belittle me in any way. He has made me feel that my cases are just as important as any other. I was at my wits end, but after speaking personally with him, he has made me feel more confident then ever before. His impression on me is that he work from the heart. Not just the almighty dollar. He really cares and treat people with dignity and the utmost respect Compared to other attorneys who has acknowledged my posts, he is the tops. In all of my years as a consumer I have never been inspired enough by anyone to actually sit down and write a review about them. That is how much I have been impressed by Attorney Jay S. Grife's professionalism. If you are looking for a lawyer who view you as a person, not just a dollar sign, Jay S. Grife is the attorney for you. He is smart, witty and thorough. I hired Mr. Grife to help me with my foreclosure since I couldnt seem to get through to the bank by myself and the whole thing scared and confused me. Mr Grife was very successful for me in not only communicating with the bank but also communicating with me regarding his dealings with the bank and ma...king sure that I understood everything that was happening. He was very easy to speak with and his knowledge of the situation made me feel at ease knowing I was in good hands with him handling my case. In the end a settlement was reached that I couldnt have been more happy with given the situation. Best decision I ever made was hiring him.
