There are moments in one's life when you feel like the world is against you and life has thrown you every type of curve ball you can handle. That is the point I was at when a creditor who was relentless on their pursuit, and fervently dismissing all my efforts to resolve a debt I owed forced me into ...filing bankruptcy. Contemplating bankrupcty is never easy. I felt like a failure but will say after everything it was the best decision I have made so far. I first meet with Eileen in April 2015 to look into doing a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. She explained everything in details. I honestly ft in love with Eileen because of... the fact she is very down to earth i felt i could talk to her and not feel like she was judging because of this situation. Her staff was the best. She also brings her doggie to work everyday, that made my decision easier to do as I am an Animal Lover myself. Also she didnt have me sign a contract like a previous lawyer did on the consultation. That did leave a bad taste in my mouth. However after talking to her she explained she doesnt make any contracts with her clients and that if needed you could set up a payment plan with her. I didn't end up doing the Bankruptcy until Jan 2016 when i received notification from my job that I would have a garnishment started for $250 which left me with $300 per paycheck to live on. Once I received that email from my job I contacted Eileen immediately. She was able to do an Emergency Bankruptcy case to stop the garnishment immediately. Due to payroll timing in my job the money came out but within 1 week the money was returned to me. I was able to get half of her fees paid up front and made two payments in a month so by Feb 2016 she was able to continue my case w. The court. Now keep in mind that the court date was pushed a few times by the court system so we were finished byJun 2016. Everything was cleared I went from having a credit score of around 560 to 640 within a month after. Now 3 months later my credit score is around 680. I was able to open a banj account an got a credit card first time in five years. Once again this has been a great decion for me. Hopefully i wilm be able t oget a home soon.
