Michael Slick

I had called Michael just for a quick question because I had about forty five minutes until sheriff came for the writ of possession. My landlord was breaking the law and getting away with it because he accepted our money after the first notice. The sheriff wrote the wrong date on my copy of eviction... papers so when we tried to pay clerk they told us it was to late. Multiple different reasons we shouldn't have been getting evicted were clear but somehow courts were letting this man get away with it. I was in tears and hadn't packed a thing scared I was about to lose everything with a newborn and a two year old. This man took my case pro bono and helped me within seconds of the sheriffs coming. He pulled strings for a girl he didn't even know and had this man stopped. I've never been so grateful in my life.

We canceled a real estate purchase contract during our due diligence period, however the seller chose to interfere with the return of our deposit from the closing company by not signing the cancellation of contract form. In fact the seller demanded the entire deposit be paid to him! This might have... forced a court case (interpleader). Not being particularly knowledgeable about the law, we asked Michael to review our situation. His review, vindicated our right to cancel the agreement within the timeframe, for any reason. His call to the listing agent resulted in a prompt reversal of the seller's refusal to sign the document. Our interaction with Michael was excellent. He reviewed the appropriate documents, came to a conclusion about the situation, explained what he felt was the appropriate course of action (including advising us to not yield to the seller's demands), and then contacted the appropriate parties in an attempt to resolve the matter. Obviously, his opinion was respected by the seller or his agent as the obstruction was immediately withdrawn. We were not "shaken down" for our deposit, when we we in the right, and we avoided costly litigation. We were very impressed with Michael.

Some heroes where capes this guy carries a brief case... In my book he is a hero I was going to lose my home he took my call 4:37 on Thursday afternoon to write in order he hand-delivered to the judge 9 AM the next morning, some of you might know this exceptional practice for most lawyers these days......
