Richard Lee Brooks II

Richard grew up in Mars, Pennsylvania, a fact he is quite proud of.  You could definitely say, “He’s out of this world.” His approach to legal matters, however, is very practical. He wants to help you meet your business goals. He makes this possible by helping you navigate the potential perils and pitfalls of legal agreements with customers, vendors, and partners/members/shareholders.

Rich is no stranger to hard work. He converted a 91’ Pontiac Firebird from a factory V6 into a non-factory 5.7L Trans Am at the age of 16.  He lovingly calls it a Transformula. While building the car, he didn’t focus on getting the car running. His goal was to build a machine that could navigate the road and withstand years of use. His business philosophy is similar. He won’t just write you a contract to get you out the door. Richard has a keen sense about the future and he will work tirelessly to write you a contract to protect you from future litigation.   

Richard comes to the legal profession with a strong business background. He co-founded EcoTech Light & Energy, LLC, a dynamic commercial grade LED lighting company. Needless to say, he understands the excitement and struggle of a new business venture. While at EcoTech, he was part of the leadership team that oversaw the formation and operation of Jasper EcoTech, LLC, a joint venture between EcoTech Light & Energy and Jasper Engines & Transmissions.

In his time at EcoTech and Jasper EcoTech, Richard handled countless contracts, and he is no stranger to the art of negotiation. From domestic and international manufacturing agreements to consumer warranties, he helped both companies mitigate legal and operational risk by ensuring that contracts were artfully crafted to specifically protect the interests of both parties as necessary.

Richard has a strong sense of community involvement. He attends Coquina Community Church and serves on the audio visual team. He volunteers as a Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) for the 7th Circuit representing the best interest of children during an incredibly turbulent time in their lives. He also regularly volunteers at St. Johns County Legal Aid. If you happen to see him in the community, be sure to say hello! In case you are wondering, yes, he still does own that Trans Am he built. He and his wife Danielle can be seen driving it around town on the weekends.
