I have known Emily for quite some time and have needed her council on several family related issues. The most recent was involving my son and the custody of his child in his divorce case. Emily was overly generous with her time and resources to help us in this very touchy situation. She made sure tha...t we had what we needed and advised us on some issues that were very important that we had overlooked. Her legal secretary, Rachel, is one of the most helpful and friendliest people in the profession. Emily represented my other son on another matter and was able to mediate on his behalf to dissolve the issue. The Carr Law Group also handled the closing of my rental property and I was very pleased with the professionalism displayed in the process. Emily represented me in a modified custody case. She delayed the hearing twice because she had not submitted evidence. On the day of the hearing she didn't have a statement prepared and wasn't organized; pulling info from the original case that was no longer relevant arguments that got shut down ...by the judge immediately. Asked several "isn't it true" statements and allowed my ex to say no to all of them without providing evidence to the contrary. When I asked her why she didn't provide evidence that he was lying she said she forgot to file it but this would work . It didn't. She failed to represent my desire and interest. I told her what my desire was and she said the judge wouldn't know what that meant "whole child " so she didn't use it. When he was shooting down my case he used the words "whole child" yet she wouldn't. She missed an opportunity to express to the judge my needs here and therefore not a lot happened for my children during this proceeding. If you have an open close case without much need for a savvy lawyer she can probably get you through the process. But if you need true representation and someone to represent you, I would not suggest this lawyer. Disorganized, unseasoned, doesn't have intuition, and lazy (she didn't prepare)

To start off with, I have to say a huge Thank You to Emily! Without her, I'm not sure where I would be! After fighting a long battle, even though she knew I would have favor she always made sure I was mentally stable and at ease! The whole law firm were to nice and to be honest, talking with them wer...e like talking to family or my closet friends. She made sure I had everything I needed for when we finally went to court, she never gave up on me and made sure that I was taken care of. Even though I probably was a pain at times and would get upset, not because of her but the situation, she made sure she'd put me back to reality and focus! When I met her face to face, she was amazing. They all were. She listened and showed she cared about my feelings and what my concerns are. She made sure I was ready for not only the good things but also prepared for the bad, just in case but she was so confident which helped me more then anything. I honestly didn't have to do much in court, only sit there and talk to her when I needed too. She is to the point and handled everything amazingly! Like I said, I never had to say a word. God had truly blessed me with her and the firm especially since this was my first time having to ever go to court and do something like this. If I ever need a Georgia attorney, I will not hesitate to get her again! I recommend her and her firm to everyone! They are so nice and family oreinated. Beyond blessed. Like I said, I can't even put in words on how my experience was and I'm hoping this comes close to my excitement and how she has brought happiness back into not only mine but my children! She has made my world complete and made my boys have no more worries or broken hearts!!!
