Don't say anything if you can't say something nice...

I have held off on reviewing Ms Carr for sometime to allow my feelings to mature...I used her for 2 cases that were interrelated. Her knowledge of the law seemed adequate. I was not provided detailed billing (after divorce when I questioned additional amount due, I got a bunch of separate time shee...ts with several incorrect (did not speak to her or appt cancelled)... it was impossible to know how. much I really owed her. Second related case, she again charged a large retainer, did very little obvious work on the case, did not always follow my requests, only met with me to discuss case the morning of the hearing. She put very little actual time in of the case for the amount of the retainer. When, a judgement of contempt was obtained, but Defendant did not abide by the ruling, she fired me as a client because I emailed her asking what was the next step. She never sent me copy of the final judgement until I called to ask about it when I learned by email that she had fired me.

Dr. Copeland, I attempted to resolve this issue via phone call to you but to date I have not received a call back. I am quite surprised that you would give me a one-star rating considering the following: You hired me to represent you in a Divorce case which quickly became highly contested. I represented you for approximately two years in which we had multiple court hearings and conferences with the Court, extensive discovery including depositions, at least two mediations and we settled on a Friday prior to a Monday Jury trial after preparing for your trial for close to two months which entailed many hours of preparation time. You were confused about the billing and we cleared up and/or removed any billing that was inaccurate. After the Divorce, you hired me for a second time for a contempt case. You had prepared the original Motion and appeared in Court on your own. You hired me to help you after instructed by the Court to hire an Attorney. I prepared a completely new Motion for Contempt and set a new Court date. I consulted with you on the phone and in person on several occasions and then had a hearing. You had made a request of adding additional Defendants to this matter that I did not believe was legally appropriate for this Motion since it stemmed from a Divorce. I prepared and sent Demand Letters to other individuals including your former spouse. During the hearing on the contempt issue, we presented evidence to the Court and you were awarded everything that you had requested. On top of winning, you were also awarded $5000.00 in Attorney fees which covered my entire retainer. You were able to reduce that amount from a payment that you were to make to your former wife. Therefore, you were completely reimbursed your entire Attorney fees. When you requested a copy of the Judgment, I promptly emailed it to you even though I believed that my assistant had mailed it to you. You had already reviewed the Judgment after I had prepared it and prior to submitting it to the Court. You wanted to pursue litigation against several third parties in an area of law that I personally do not practice. (Real Estate) I had previously informed you that I do not practice in that area of law and in an email I told you that if you wanted to pursue litigation, another Attorney in our firm would be handling the case. This Attorney helped with some of the complex real estate issue during your Divorce and you previously had a professional relationship with him. At no point did I “fire” you as a client. I’m sorry that you are upset, however, considering you were pleased with my initial representation, hired me a second time where you won on all counts and you were completely reimbursed, there is no justification for a one-star rating.

I new that I might need an attorney , so remembering Mrs Carr when I first met her several years ago help me decide that she would be my choice. Rachel was great setting up a meeting with Mrs Carr and relaying any concerns that I had. Mrs Carr represented my very well and the case was resolved in a t...imely manner. Mrs Carr understood all my concerns and worked for my best interest. I would recommend Mrs Carr to anyone in search of an attorney.

Dropped by to consult with an attorney. Front staff was very friendly and helpful. Met with attorney, she immediately knew what I needed to close my case. Her assistant prepared the documents, gave me a call - case closed! Will call them if ever need any legal help at all.

Words aren't enough...

To start off with, I have to say a huge Thank You to Emily! Without her, I'm not sure where I would be! After fighting a long battle, even though she knew I would have favor she always made sure I was mentally stable and at ease! The whole law firm were to nice and to be honest, talking with them wer...e like talking to family or my closet friends. She made sure I had everything I needed for when we finally went to court, she never gave up on me and made sure that I was taken care of. Even though I probably was a pain at times and would get upset, not because of her but the situation, she made sure she'd put me back to reality and focus! When I met her face to face, she was amazing. They all were. She listened and showed she cared about my feelings and what my concerns are. She made sure I was ready for not only the good things but also prepared for the bad, just in case but she was so confident which helped me more then anything. I honestly didn't have to do much in court, only sit there and talk to her when I needed too. She is to the point and handled everything amazingly! Like I said, I never had to say a word. God had truly blessed me with her and the firm especially since this was my first time having to ever go to court and do something like this. If I ever need a Georgia attorney, I will not hesitate to get her again! I recommend her and her firm to everyone! They are so nice and family oreinated. Beyond blessed. Like I said, I can't even put in words on how my experience was and I'm hoping this comes close to my excitement and how she has brought happiness back into not only mine but my children! She has made my world complete and made my boys have no more worries or broken hearts!!!
