Growing up with an older brother and sister, I developed a knack for making cogent arguments, which comprised strong premises, inferences, and conclusions. Although I was the youngest, I would routinely convince my siblings to do things my way.
Throughout my childhood, I was very observant and learned by asking the “hard” questions of adults. I was thought to be very “precocious” and courageous at the age of five.
Growing up in Southwestern part of Missouri, I witnessed many injustices and by the age of seven, I decided that I wanted be a lawyer so that I could help others better understand their legal rights.
Once I made up my mind to become an advocate for others, I knew I had to attend college and law school and I began, at a very young age, preparing my path to become an attorney.
I attended Missouri Southern State University on a full ride basketball scholarship and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Business Administration.
I went on to attend John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, GA and graduated in 1995. In 1996, I passed the bar exam and opened the Law Office of Sabrina A. Parker where I focused primarily on family law, immigration, and bankruptcy.
In 1999, I began working part time at Atlanta Legal Aid Society where I assisted the elderly with Medicaid/Medicare benefits, consumer protection issues, and estate planning documents. I also worked in the family law division where I provided legal advice to pro se clients in the area of divorce, custody, visitation, legitimations, name changes, child support, and uncontested adoptions.
I find the legal profession to be an evolving profession that takes commitment, zeal, and a sincere love for helping others, particularly the most vulnerable citizens in our community, to be effective and successful.
I am humbly grateful for the opportunity to “fight the good fight” for all of Georgia’s citizens for over 20 years and look forward to serving them for many more.
