Wonderful, knowledgeable, ethical and loves animals!! Penny has helped me, with several families, to get their animals home! Wrongly taken by finders, rescues...etc. She knows the law and how to fight for what is right!! The most recent case where a 10lb pup was found, rescue took him and did not inv...olve the right authorities or go thru the proper procedures. To say the least, this puppy is going home! She is the best I have seen. If you need help with any animal related issue, she is the one to use! I cannot say enough about how wonderful she is.

Rakki inu Akita rescue with the support of all other Akita rescues stepped in to assist a family of three akitas who had been placed in animal control on court hold at no fault of their own. Sadly a judge ordered euthanasia on one of the dogs and wintout attorney Furr’s assistance we would not have... gained legal custody of these very young Akitas. Due to her efforts and motions filed which was, despite courts taking a while, executed in a rapid fashion and the judges initial order was overturned. The Akita family was released to rescue yesterday and are now safe. I could not have found a better representation to help fight for these babies. Not only did she do her job as a lawyer but she truly has compassion for the animals and wants to see them happy and loved.

I had a little puppy I was fostering for a rescue who was very, very sick....The vets had given him a 10% chance of survival, and just when he had begun to stabilize, I got into an argument with the rescue which left them rather spiteful. They sent me a message threatening to sue if I did not rel...ease the puppy to be transported immediately. They had already transported his very sick littermates (and mom) out of state, half of whom perished shortly after after catching an additional illness. I couldn't let them put this puppy I'd fought so hard to keep alive in harms way. But I had no money for a lawyer. Didn't know the first thing about law and had no idea what to do.... But then, a friend referred me to Penny Furr. My gosh was she an angel. She was quick to jump on this completely pro bono, Told me to sit tight, she would handle the whole thing, and she did. I was so nervous - I'd never been involved in any legal issues before. But she turned the tables and we never even set foot in a courtroom; everything worked out perfectly. She was Superwoman who swooped in and saved the day, haha. Kind of cheesy perhaps, but that's truly how it felt. Penny knows her stuff, and I couldn't recommend her more. The entire experience was amazing and if I ever run into trouble again she's definitely at the top of my list of who to call.

Penny painstakingly reviewed ever word of a lengthy contract with multiple addendums I was about to sign. Without realizing it I was about to give away without recourse my intellectual property rights, right to sue and ability to defend compensation issues. She generously took the time to explain how... the legal language could easily have an adverse impact on my ability to leverage my IP, skills and experience in the future. I highly recommend Penny.
