Experienced and a Master of Complex Issues

I turned to Elinor several months into my case, after struggling with a divorce lawyer who was competent but clearly out of her depth. My case was highly contentious, complex, and complicated by many international aspects. Elinor immediately took on a host of urgent time-sensitive discovery motions..., responses to motions, and negotiations with opposing counsel. I was happily surprised to see how quickly she mastered the multi-decade factual chronology (including a number of international financial transactions), and the issues facing us. She was able to develop a clear, practical strategy that gave me confidence. After having been on edge for months, I was finally able to begin to sleep at night. Being a retired lawyer myself, I was pleased to see how well-reasoned her legal arguments were, how incisively she could cut through and call out the non-ending smoke and mirrors that my ex's attorneys kept throwing out. It was satisfying and comforting to see her turn judges around in hearings (and in our mediation sessions). Throughout my case, Elinor welcomed my input and was always focused on practical, effective strategies that ultimately steered my case to a satisfactory resolution.
