I hired atty Mondelli, had a consultation, paid him the down payment of 1000.00, He waited until court date, to text me and said he had something to come up. He never filed papers with the court to let them know he was representing me, Till this day, he have not contacted me, and i have been unable t...o reach him

This lawyer is HORRIBLE! From the get go, he put off our cases for others and charges us too price for a easy case due to the fact that we were naive in the world of lawyers. It was an act of Congress to get him to reply to any means of communication. We provided plenty of evidence to support the fac...t that we were not guilty and he still got us the bare minimum which we could have acquired by representing ourselves. He changed court dates multiple times and would show up to our dates 5 or more hours late because he scheduled too many cases on the same day. We do not feel that he took the time to focus on our case or prove our innocence. It is evident that other cases were more important and we were just quick money for him. His voicemail box stays full most of the time which indicates that it he doesn’t check messages. He will not reply to texts or emails. I would not recommend this lawyer at all.

Tom was very courteous and nice to me. It was my first time with any legal trouble and he acted like my friend. He asked for payment right away, which I expected, but then seemed to never put work into my case. I called him every 4 or 5 days for the month leading up to the court date to get updates. ...There were no updates. A week before my case, he told me he had to be a county over defending an inmate. By that point there was no way I could get a new lawyer. On the day of the case, he was over an hour late, and did absolutely nothing to help my efforts. I happened to watch a young man with the exact same case stand before the judge who hadn't hired a lawyer, and we got the exact same punishment. Tom took my money, which for me was a significant amount, and did nothing worthwhile for me. He embodied the bad things I've heard about lawyers all my life.
