Don't waste your time looking any further

I hired Gillian for what I already expected to be a difficult and complicated divorce, and which ended up taking unforeseen twists and turns I could not have ever imagined. I can't say enough about her knowledge, insight, and professionalism. She is a master multi-tasker, and most critically, was available and immediately responsive when my case became a series of one true crisis situation after the next. Even when my crisis cut into her personal time, she was there for me. There was no hand wringing or floor pacing wondering when or if she would respond ... it was always almost immediately and if she was tied up, she let me know right away when she would be able respond. She is a no-nonsense lawyer, extremely efficient, and caring. All of her gut assumptions about what I should do turned out to be accurate. She doesn't tell you what you want to hear, but rather what you need to hear. She freed me from the need to feel as if I had to micromanage my case, eased my fears, and when my case extended far beyond a routine divorce situation, she connected me with other professionals who were likewise immediately responsive and highly skilled. I don't have enough good things to say about Gillian. No matter how complicated or bizarre your situation may be, she is capably able to handle it. If you are looking for the creme de la creme of family divorce attorneys, don't waste your time looking any further. Gillian is the best there is.

Excellent Attorney!

I was disappointed with my previous attorney and beginning to lose hope, luckily a friend referred me to Gillian because I have been happy with the service ever since. The best!

I hired Gillian to represent me in a divorce that consisted of the division of a complicated and contested family estate. Not only was Gillian extremely knowledgeable in legal rights and protections pertinent to my case, but she was respectful of my input and my often times, repetitive, nagging, insistent attention to specific details that I felt were important to address. Gillian gave me invaluable advice, was always clear with expectations and was an incredible advocate for me throughout the divorce process. She is a straight-shooter who is gifted at mitigating the elevated emotions, stress and contention that often coincides with divorce proceedings. Do not hire anyone else

Gillian is extremely well versed and knowledgeable in family law. She is very connected within the legal environment in Atlanta and will be an invaluable resource to anyone that hires her. Divorce is a very emotional and difficult experience to go through and Gillian is always there to provide concise, honest, and rational advice and suggestions for you along the way. Do not waste your time hiring anyone else as you get what you pay for with Gillian and she will fight for you and your children’s rights. My ex who had a separate lawyer even recommended Gillian to a friend going through divorce which shows you just how good she is.

Don’t make my mistake! Call Gillian First!!

Gillian, I owe you my sanity. Lol For everyone who doesn’t know me nor my situation; I am from a small town, was married to one woman for 17 years and own a successful business. I initially hired a local lawyer as most people do, but after several months of nothing happening and they seemed to never have an answer for any question I had. I finally cut my losses and decided to hire Gillian. Wow, haw Glad I am and how Much my life would still be. She easily and answered any questions, but listened and insured I completely understood. She never hesitated to pull in the highest quality and professional firms to assist in many areas during this case. . They seemed to continuously surprise me with the effort everyone put forth. Fantastic Lawyer

Her reputation precedes her. I can't say enough about Gillian. I'm not sure I could have gotten through my difficult, emotional divorce without her. She was quick to respond and always there when needed. I felt like she had my back and made sure I was getting what I deserved...aggressive but not overly pushy; very knowledgable about the industry and law. She made it clear what I was entitled to and I felt like she was a strong advocate for my needs, especially when I didn't have the strength. She was a calming effect and kept me grounded when I was struggling. Extremely Knowledgeable!

Simply the best

After spending the first 6 months of an awful divorce case, I decided to release my attorney at the time and sought a consultation with Gillian. I was impressed with her and Rachel from the start and I knew right then she will be the best person to right the wrong course my case was taking regardless of the outcome. My instincts were right. She was honest, direct, knowledgeable about family law but what impressed me the most was her attention to the right detail that mattered to the case. She was also respectful of my time and helped me through what was an emotional rollercoaster and painful period. Unfortunately my case had to go to trial but Gillian again demonstrated that honesty, professionalism, fairness, clear facts and truth always wins even in the most toughest of cases. Simply the best!

I can’t put into words how grateful I am for Gillian. I have now been divorced for well over a year and half and I still find myself wondering how differently the outcome might have been, had I not been fortunate enough to have her as my attorney. I interviewed several attorneys prior to meeting Gillian, most of whom didn’t seem genuine or appear to have my best interest at heart. From the beginning, Gillian was sincere, understanding, professional and authentic. She provided very clear, judicious direction during the most chaotic time of my life, and always minimized any unnecessary actions that could have resulted in a waste of time, money or emotion. I never felt uncomfortable discussing the details of my divorce or expectations of the settlement with her, and appreciated her compassionate, yet straightforward, guidance. I’ll admit, I had some very specific (almost lofty) asks regarding my settlement agreement. Additionally, my ex-husband and I owned a small business, which further complicated things. Despite the roadblocks and delays, Gillian fought tooth and nail to expedite the process and for my best interest while negotiating terms. In the end, the settlement was exactly what I had wanted/expected. Gillian is extremely educated and talented in her field, highly respected by her peers receives my highest recommendation. Highly Recommended

After 8 months in a divorce that looked like it was headed to court, I decided to release my former attorney and sought a consultation with Gillian. I was super impressed with her right from the start and I knew things were going to turn around for me with her in my corner. Within a month from hiring her, I had a second mediation (the first ended in complete disaster) that successfully resulted in a settlement. Gillian was masterful at giving me great advice when I needed it and keeping me on track. I know that I would have been mired in a lengthy divorce trial without her that was completely unnecessary. Take my advice and go to her first if you find yourself in a divorce case. She's the best and I would highly recommend her to anyone else.

Wish I knew THEN what I know NOW

I SO wish I would have seen this site and spoke to this attorney before I made a mistake that cost me thousands of dollars. Her assistant Emily was very fair with me. EXTREMLY honest with me and very responsive. I had a case in Henry County and decided to use a "small town" attorney as oppose to one from "BUCKHEAD." Big mistake. Dont worry about the local... just hire the best. PERIOD. The attorney who opposed me was from Atlanta and she totally distroyed my attorney who was totally unprepared in every way. She littreraly had me calling the bank to get copies of checks that SHE LOST. I wish I was making this up. As a result I paid 30k to a woman who put me out the house after 10 months of marriage. After it was over opposing counsel came after me again and Gillian and Emily came to my rescue. Do not make the same mistake. Gillian and Emily have taught an invaluable lesson. Simply hire the best--make the sacrefice and their efficency will save or make you money in the end.

Satisfied Client, Highly Recommended!!

Gillian possesses all the qualities one would look for in a lawyer. She is professional, efficient, competent, and very knowledgeable of her work. She responded PROMPTLY and answered all my questions. She helped me through a very difficult transition and made me feel comfortable. She was highly recommended and I see why. Happy Client!

I was so pleased with Gillian through my first legal battle that there was no question who I'd hire a month ago when my second legal issue came up. The legal support she provides is worth every penny. I used another lawyer for my divorce. I hardly ever spoke to that lawyer and I felt like that lawyer drug out my case to make more money. Its the exact opposite experience with Gillian. She has responded to every email I send regardless if she's on vacation or busy getting ready for court on another clients case. Superior expertise, tenacity, and ethical values are evident qualities Gillian O'Nan's clients can expect

I was referred to Gillian O’Nan to represent my custody, visitation, and child support modification case of my 3-year-old child in 2014. Upon my initial consultation, I was thoroughly impressed with Ms. O’Nan for several reasons. She listened intently to the history surrounding my case, concerns regarding my daughter, and reviewed the supporting evidence I provided to substantiate my claims. Gillian explained in depth the family laws in Georgia and identified the pertinent facts warranting the initiation of my case in Superior Court. Throughout the 32 months of my contested custody case, from initiation to the final hearing, Gillian never ceased to advocate for me and my child every step of the way! She exhibited the upmost professionalism in all correspondences and in the courtroom at each hearing. This was particularly evidenced in the seven-hour long temporary hearing where she presented the facts and remained focused, which resulted in me obtaining full physical custody on a temporary basis. Gillian continued to represent me in the highest regard over the next two years and kept me abreast on important updates and information in a timely manner. Ultimately, the temporary order was upheld and I am now the primary physical custodian. I know the outcome of my case would not have resulted in the same success if I hired a different attorney to represent me back in 2014. Highly recommended

Gillian was recommended to me at the beginning of what became a very long, ugly process due to the actions of my ex and his attorney. Gillian was always responsive, explained things thoroughly and helped guide me through a very painful and complicated situation. Again and again, she told us what she expected the outcome to be at different points and she was proven to be correct each time.
