Can't recommend Austin Buerlein highly enough.

My divorce was high-stakes and involved a smart and vengeful spouse, so I had to take the attorney I hired very seriously. I interviewed 8 different attorneys, and from our very first conversation, it was clear that Austin Buerlein had a grasp of the details of divorce law and my situation that the o...thers did not, and his command of language and ability to state things in a fair and reasonable manner was impressive. Austin is strategic, knowledgeable, and razor-sharp, but just as important, he was honest, kind, and deeply invested in my outcome. My case was a higher net-worth situation involving an angry spouse who was out for vengeance and making me bleed. My ex-spouse's attorney assured her that she would be able to take me to the cleaners, but I believe that once they found out my attorney was Austin, and they had worked with him before and knew of his courtroom skills and knowledge of the law and the judicial system, they recognized they weren't going to be able to push me around with Austin in my corner. We were able to mediate a reasonable outcome (which means lose-lose or win-win, haha) and did not need to go to court, but I am convinced that Austin would have navigated court with aplomb. As I understand it, other attorneys hire him to go to court for them at times, believe it or not. I can't recommend Austin enough; in fact, I almost don't want to recommend him because I want him all to myself, haha, although I don't plan to go through divorce again any time soon. And just remember: the reason divorce costs so much is because it's worth it!

Wonderful attorney

Austin is an exceptional attorney. He is very detailed and made sure he got all the information needed to help me with a case that was complicated. I would highly recommend him. He helped me enormously and I don’t know what I would have done without his help.

Austin saved my family

Austin represented me in my divorce and my custody modification cases. I went to him hurt and feeling defeated. My divorce was complicated and I was lost and Austin stepped in, represented me and through his professionalism and constant contact he made me feel I truly had an advocate. He walked me th...rough every step and I honestly felt I had not only an attorney but a good friend looking out for me and my two son’s best interests. We settled the divorce through his hard work and sincere dedication to my case. I had to get his assistance again several years later to modify custody. I chose to go back to him because I knew with his determination and expert knowledge of the system I would prevail with him in my corner. Austin was able to secure custody of my two sons for me. I always felt Austin truly cared about my boys and I and our best interests. He works tirelessly for his clients. He was always there when I needed him. This was 5 years ago and now I am with my two boys and I owe their great success to Austin for his hard work. Austin is now a friend and we consider him a member of our family. I would recommend and request his assistance again in a heartbeat if I needed him. Austin truly cares and will fight for you as his client.

Hire Austin Buerlein if you want to be ignored, berated and do all the legal work yourself while being charged for it

Austin Buerlein is unresponsive, conceited and in the end you pay him for the "privilege" of his "representation". 90% of the work is passed off to an incompetent paralegal who you, as the client, have to constantly correct/chase down and ultimately end up doing the work yourself. I found myself doin...g my regular job and their legal work while paying them for it. During a stressful time such as a divorce you need someone on your side, I did not have that. Not even close. Throughout the process it felt like they were doing me the favor of "representing" me while I paid and did the legal work. They did not stand up for me against oppposing counsel. Opposing counsel ran the entire case while Buerlein/Elovitz were more worried about their social standing with OC than actually helping their client and doing their jobs. In the end, I ended up having half of everything I worked so hard for taken away by an ex who made significantly more money than me. I did all the work, provided all the evidence and money trail of how it should not be considered marital property but my "representation" ignored me and said "I am not going to waste my time on that". When tens of thousands of dollars, and retirement security are at stake, your hired attorney should care. On numerous occassions I was shocked to find Buerlein/Elovitz communicating with OC and my ex without me being included. At the end of the case, Buerlein/Elovitz took a victory lap while I was forced to pay out nearly $100,000 to an ex who makes significantly more and did not need a dime of it. My ex's counsel took charge, Buerlein let them and did not care, didnt want to be bothered to do his job. Years later my ex ridiculed me for my choice of representation as my ex took their own victory lap. You feel like it is you vs your hired representation, Opposing Counsel and your ex when you hire Austin Buerlein and this firm. Stay away, hire a different attorney or represent yourself. This process is not that complicated as these attorneys make it out to be. I know because I did the work myself while paying them.

I am totally perplexed at this Anonymous post, and fairly confident this is a scorned opposing party (posing as a former client). In addition to having no idea what case or actions this person is referring to, I have never worked for “Buerlein/Elovitz”, and have never had a client come to me with any of these supposed concerns. If I am somehow wrong (and this was a former client), I’d ask you to please contact me to discuss further, as its incredibly important to me that my clients are happy with my representation during their tough times, and clearly you were misled by your spouse.

Very Professional, Pragmatic Advice, Recommend to Anyone Needing Help!

What I loved about Austin was his candid, reasonable and fair approach. He doesn't just tell you what you want to hear... he was able to help us navigate many challenges and in the end the result was better than anticipated. Our circumstances required us to go to court (via Zoom). Austin was very ...impressive with the judge, made great points, counter arguments and I know the judge respected him greatly. He encouraged us to try to find workable outcomes that kept costs in mind and always attempted to resolve using the least expensive solution. In the end, he was very fair with his fees and went above and beyond our agreement.
