Top of Her Field, Would Rehire and Recommend, Without a Doubt

I suffered a personal injury at work and as a result, it was recommended by family and friends that I hire an Attorney to help me navigate through the "Workers Comp" process. And a process it was, it took just over a year for the case to come to a settlement. I found Susan Sadow, esq. via a google ...search. She was listed as a "Super Lawyer" in her field and after reading her impressive list of credentials, I decided to schedule an appointment. She returned my call within 24 hours and I told her about my accident. Susan then asked me several detailed questions, assured me she could help and invited me in for an appointment. When I met her I immediately knew I wanted her to represent me. She is a confident and powerful force of energy with a kind, sweet spirit. For me and my particular case I required assistance in several areas and she was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in supplying an excellent choice of resources that I needed. The one thing that I greatly appreciated about her was that she was completely honest and above board with me at all times. She let me know that while this was not a case that I would be able to "retire" from, I did have a solid case; this helped me keep things in perspective. I also appreciated the fact that once hired, she and her staff immediately took over all correspondence with the parties involved with my case, what a relief! By the way, let me just say that Susan's staff was just as top notch and just as invested in my case as Susan; never did a question or concern go unanswered because Maria and Reba were so on top of my case details. After a long process of recovery, it came time to negotiate a settlement. Susan informed me of every detail of the settlement process, what would take place, and my roll in the process. As a result, she negotiated a very good settlement on my behalf. While the circumstances of my meeting Susan and her staff were quite unfortunate, I couldn't have made a better choice in professional and person to advocate for me.

Very grateful, she stuck with me for the long haul, and even saved my life

I worked on my job for over 18 years when I suddenly found myself with a broken back and paralyzed leg due to a work injury. The company I worked for gave me a hard time about it, even telling employees they would get fired for even talking to me. And to top it off, the workers comp insurance compan...y would only send me to the cheapest of doctors. They first sent me to a doctor that misdiagnosed my broken back simply saying I needed 8 weeks of physical therapy. I endured the 8 weeks, with my pain only getting worse, and my leg still not regaining any feeling. I told the insurance company that I needed a second opinion, because I was getting worse, and they refused. So I went on a hunt for a lawyer, and found Susan. She explained to me the way that the law works when it comes to workers comp, because I had never been injured on the job, how would I know what my rights are? Well, I was informed that legally I could get 1 second opinion, and workers comp then knew, they had to follow the law, and allow me to see another doctor. Well, after getting injured, several people recommended this one doctor, and that’s who I went to see. He looked at the SAME MRI of my back, only to say uh oh, we have a problem. Your back basically has exploded in this area, causing the paralyzation below the knee on that leg. If it hadn’t been for Susan, I wouldn’t have been able to see that doctor to get the right diagnosis. BUT the story continues. I had to have back surgery, which relieved me of my pain. During surgery, an ulcer formed on my paralyzed foot that over a year, tunneled to the bone, got infected, and got staph infection in the bone. The insurance company didn’t want to cover the now necessary leg amputation since they only provided doctors that gave crappy care , BUT Susan and her team were persistent, and at the last minute, when surgery was already scheduled awaiting approval, the insurance company approved the surgery to be done. Before the surgery, I was given a death sentence. With my foot in the shape that it was in, I was given 6 months to live. After surgery at the follow-up appointment, the doctor said I have some good news and bad news. The good news is that the infection is gone, the bad news, you had gangrene, and had less than 6 weeks to live. BUT the story still continues. As we all know, when you get a leg amputation, you get a prosthetic. Before my accident, I had a leg that functioned perfectly. Now, I have a stump on that side, so I expect to have a functioning leg when I get a prosthetic. Well, the insurance company fought tooth and nail on not paying for a leg. Once again, Susan and her team stayed on it, and I was able to get a leg. About a year after I got my prosthetic, I started having bone coming out of my leg. Apparently, from the amputation surgery, I had blood pool on the inside of my leg creating bone, and the prosthetic rubbed it, breaking it, causing it to form a sore that grew larger and larger as more and more bone came out. So, once again, I needed another surgery, and of course, the insurance company wanted to fight me on it. As always, Susan and her team were persistent, and made it happen. Without Susan and her team, I would not be here today for my wife and kids. I am forever grateful for the teams persistence, and willingness to stick with me over a long 3 years.

Awsome Attorney!

Before you “Call Kurt because you got hurt” or any of the other attorneys who churn out commercials daily, do your research and you will find out what I did: that Susan Sadow is the best WC attorney in the state of Georgia. I had a complex case: two injuries while working for the same employer bu...t the first injury occurred while covered by insurer “A” and the second occurred later while covered by insurer “B“. I had tried to handle the process on my own and had surgery performed by the doctor on the list provided by my employer, with unsuccessful and inferior results. I felt overwhelmed by the entire process. I then researched “Best WC Lawyers in Georgia” and found her! Top 25 Super Lawyer multiple years in a row. Susan was able to use her extensive and superior knowledge and experience to sort through the difficulty of the cases to get me to the best doctors and specialist in the field. The results far exceeded my expectations. Although I am unable to return to work, Susan negotiated a fair and equitable settlement. My many thanks to the team of Reba, Marie and Brandy who always responded quickly and compassionately to my questions and concerns. They always treated me like family and had my best interest at heart.

Exceeded my expectation

After an injury at work, my company and the insurance company treated me fairly for the most part throughout my time under workers comp. I was approved for all of my treatments and received my weekly benefits checks "mostly" on time. Sometimes I had issues getting them on the phone. When the docto...r told me I had reached maximum medical improvement and I was coming to the end of the road I decided to seek out the advice of an attorney in order to make sure that I was treated fairly. After doing my research I decided to call Susan and it was probably one of the better decisions that I have ever made. She is very personable and extremely knowledgeable about the workers comp system in Georgia. Once she was my attorney, I never had to talk to the insurance company again and my checks were always on time. I ended up with a fair settlement from my company and I am convinced that having her as my attorney I got a much better settlement than I would have on my own. I'll be the first to admit that I was nervous about retaining an attorney, but I am glad I did. In addition to Susan, her staff is also very friendly and there to answer any questions that you have about the process. I can't thank them enough for what they did. If you are looking for a Workers comp attorney, then look no further than Susan Sadow.

"I have had the opportunity to mediate a number of cases where Susan represented the claimant. She is always very well prepared, has helped her clients understand the process, and has done the necessary groundwork to get her clients top-dollar settlements. She realizes the importance of mediations and puts a lot of work into them. She has an excellent grasp of the complex issues which vex less experienced claimant’s attorneys, such as proper handling of MSAs, Social Security offsets, and subrogation liens. Her excellent advocacy skills in the courtroom are well known, but I have had the privilege of seeing her use the slightly different skill-set necessary to help her clients get the best settlement to be had though the mediation process and exhaust all ancillary sources to maximize the benefits for her clients. She truly is a Super Lawyer"
