I was referred to Attorney Shelton by a mutual acquaintance. Although I arrived for legal representation only a short time before an impending court date, Attorney Shelton graciously accepted my case and showed up extraordinarily well prepared and organized (I thought I was thorough...) but the order... in which she arranged all files (8 years' worth of emails, 5 years' worth of time cards, pay stubs, and bank account statements) caused the defendant to change his demeanor from one of arrogant indifference to humble respect tempered w/ fear and, by the end of our negotiation, one of admiration (he actually requested her business card and asked could he call her for legal representation in any future litigation he may have!) I was very pleased w/ her calm, confident command of ALL of my documents, the chronological order of all pertinent interactions leading up to and including this legal action, and the pleasant manner in which she negotiated my favorable complete and immediate settlement; she did not permit it to drag out over months-years of a payment plan that may or may not ever materialize. Her follow up was comforting, her integrity was refreshing, her knowledge of the law silenced the defendant and his associates as they wrongly accused me and misquoted the rules of employment engagement. I can't say enough...but I don't want to be too lengthy. I was fretful before I was referred to Attorney Shelton b/c I'd already given my honest sweat equity for which I was consistently underpaid (and falsely, yet repeatedly promised restitution) for 5 years -- and now had to fight in a court of law (spending additional funds that I did not have for this purpose) to get paid for services already rendered. It was a daunting task. But she stood on principle w/ me and fought for me as aggressively as if it were her own wages that were stolen. I am grateful for her time, attention to detail, diligence and care that ended with the defendant refusing trial/agreeing to settlement b/c of the overwhelming volume of evidence Attorney Shelton presented during our mandatory pre-trial negotiations. As she began to speak on my behalf, I quickly realized that she actually HEARD every concern I had spoken to her previously, researched the legal foundations of each concern and voiced each eloquently, unfailingly countering and rendering impotent every argument the defendant raised.
