Ashley worked tirelessly to help me get primary physical custody of my daughter. This was not an easy task as a father seeking custody with an out of state mother. I was discouraged to go back to Court to fight for my kids' custody because they were in their late teens. Other attorneys told me that the judge would most likely let them live with their "preferred parent", due to their ages. Ashley understood that this case was not a simple custody dispute; it wa...s parental alienation and it was hurting my kids. I was involved in a situation where a family member was harassing and stalking me incessantly, and the police would not act on removing her from our property unless I had a TPO. Ashley's office was able to jump on the case quickly and was able to secure an emergency TPO and 12-month TPO following mul...tiple incidents. Unfortunately, the harassment and stalking did not stop there, but the situation became complicated when the perpetrator's physical location was unknown. Despite that, Ashley and her team supported us as we approached out renewal of the TPO extension, and Ashley was able to help us secure a permanent protection order to protect myself and my family from further harassment and stalking.

In early 2022, my family and I went through one of the most traumatic & traumatizing situations we've been through. My 38 years of living I've never been so hurt, having my family wrongfully separated by DCFS.
