My lifetime regret that I hired her

She would always say "YES I CAN, AND HAVE DONE MANY". I regret that i hired her with free consultation. I wasn't qualified for HI-B in spite having Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree and studied here in USA. The actual law was that I needed to have a Master Degree to be qualified for H1-B. She di...dn't guided me on timely manner and I became illegal after 6 years being legal. I and my family are suffering hardship because of her. I will curse her till the last breath of my life. I don't know where to file a complaint against her to the law authority.

Sameera, your H-1B petition was denied because the position offered by your former employer did not include advanced job responsibilities. Your employer was not able to offer you a position with more advanced job duties. It was not because you did not have a master degree. It is a fact that we haven done many approved H-1B cases for nurse positions. However, we did not guarantee an approval. Indeed, no attorneys can guarantee an approval. Each case is different. We suggested you maintaining your lawful non-immigrant status before the H-1B approval. Because of your financial restriction, your made a decision to let your non-immigrant status lapse despite of being against our suggestions. Furthermore, you asked us to lower your attorney fees due to your financial status. We had sympathy on you. Therefore, we offered a very low fee schedule to you. All together, you paid us $1300, for which we have filed an H-1B petition, a response to H-1B RFE, and a motion for the denied H-1B petition. We have spent hours and hours of our time on researching, writing, and negotiating with your employer for your case. Indeed, we got the motion to reopen approved by the USCIS. However, upon a reconsideration, the USCIS eventually denied the case the second time. It was unfortunate that the USCIS denied your H-1B case. However, we truly tried our best to assist you.

She knows the Laws

over the past 10 years, my wife and I had all our immigration cases through Lucy. Back to 2007, when all EB categories ALL opened for 1 month window. No lawyer wanted to accept my wife's NIW (National Interest Waiver) case because her background were so weak and all attorneys wanted the easy money at... that time. I talked to Lucy, and she kindly took our case. Within 20 days, she got the application done and submitted. 5 months later, a Request for Evidence (RFE) from USCIS Texas Service Center, Officer 100!!! We were so worried because we did not have much confidence with such weak case. Lucy came up with a response letter with very strong arguments. Guess what?! We were approved for our NIW case! After that, several of my friends got very positive result from her service, including a mission-impossible EB-2 case from mainland China directly. It took 4 years, but very smoothly. Based on my personal experience, I wish I could give 6-stars since she also answered my questions about other legal issues. She went extra miles to help me in many ways.

Not trustworthy. Would not recommend

I wish I did more research before considering this attorney. Lucy failed to submit documents in a timely manner that negatively impacted my immigration status. My case was not handled with care and I ended up wasting a lot of time and money on something that should not have been this expensive.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
