I contacted Attorney Kelly to assist me with a discrimination lawsuit against the State of Georgia. They retaliated against me and forced me out 10 months before I could retire and start drawing a pension! I am an older woman who has a chronic health condition! I was a victim of ageism, sexism, ra...cism and nepotism! They also discriminated against me based on my disability! I found Attny. Kelly on Avvo.com. While I appreciate his willingness to take my case at the last minute, I don’t feel like he did the best job possible. He only met with me once in person! He included misinformation in the original complaint. He also included information that I specifically asked him to omit. As a result, the judge had him file a revised complaint. Unfortunately, the revised complaint was dismissed with prejudice! Attorney Kelly assured me that he would file an appeal. I asked him not to wait until the last minute. Although he claimed that he filed an appeal, he was unsuccessful in filing it successfully! He also waited until the last minute to file the appeal! Now, I have lost my chance of ever getting compensated for my pain and suffering!!! I wish that I could have found a more competent attorney. He was the only attorney that I could afford. My sister loaned me $5000 to pay Attorney Kelly. I feel that it was a waste of money. When I confronted him about the mistakes he made, he responded that he spent extra time on my case. Spending extra time on a job doesn’t justify mistakes! I spend extra time on my job all of time. However, that does not justify any mistakes that I may make. I paid him to do a job. That job was to help me sue DCA to get my pension and compensate me for my pain and suffering. Unfortunately, He was unsuccessful at that job!
