Jeff’s practice focuses on serious personal injury cases of all types, including automobile accidents, trucking accidents, premise liability, negligent security, motorcycle accidents, catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, product liability and professional malpractice. He has tried numerous cases to verdict and represented clients in the Supreme Court of Georgia and the Georgia Court of Appeals.
In October 2010, Jeff was lead trial counsel on a slip and fall premises liability case in Bulloch County, Georgia and secured a $1,778, verdict for the injuries to a young man. Defendants disputed they were negligent and claimed that they had been in business for over twenty years and never had a patron fall. After a three day trial, the jury awarded $1,528, in damages for medical expenses and pain and suffering and $250, in punitive damages.
In November, 2010, just three weeks after serving as lead trial counsel and securing a multi-million dollar verdict in South Georgia, Jeff was lead trial counsel on another multi-million dollar verdict in DeKalb County. In that case, the Plaintiff alleged the Defendant, a 28 year old military veteran, ran her and her husband off the road, causing serious injuries to both husband and wife. The Defendant, who was represented by a large national defense firm, claimed the Plaintiffs came into his lane. After a three day trial, the jury found for the Plaintiffs and awarded a total award of $3,290, (inclusive of attorney's fees).
Jeff has been recognized as one of the top young lawyers in Georgia and named a Georgia Rising Star by Atlanta Magazine and the Super Lawyers publication in 2007, 2009 and 2010 (there was no Rising Stars publication in 2008). Only 2.5% of the total lawyers in Georgia are selected as a Rising Star
Jeff also volunteers with the Atlanta Volunteer Legal Foundation pursuant to a pro bono program and is a member of Peachtree Presbyterian Church.
