Do your homework!

Hiring Southworth PC was the biggest mistake of my life. I had a very strong case as I was employed by my federal agency for 33 years with a meticulous record and many awards. This is a fact. Shaun Southworth, although on initial contact seems nice, is actually a very nasty and arrogant man. I was a... client for 5 years He took my money in increments of $5,000 and used it up rapidly .. with no visible result …this is a fact. When my funds ran out he put me on a payment plan and then my case was reassigned to Georgia Lawrence. She provided poor communication, filed everything at the last minute and did not seem to ever comprehend the facts of my case. I had a grueling 6.5 hour deposition with the US Justice Department. She was on Zoom supposedly supporting me. She came back from lunch 20 minutes late which really irritated the Justice Department attorney then had to leave for an hour to speak to another judge on another case … leaving me on my own … then when she came back from that meeting she forgot to turn off her video .. and there was Georgia Lawrence sitting in her car! It was so embarrassing and unprofessional. This is a fact.. I fought this case for five years finally getting to US Federal Court and Georgia filed my case in the wrong format so the Federal Judge disregarded ALL of my disputed facts using the Justice Department ‘s overly false narrative to dismiss my case. Shaun’s response to me was basically “well all courts and states are different!” That’s a fact. Isn’t that what his job is .. to know how to properly file a case in the proper format in Federal Court? He was supposedly monitoring my case. He took no responsibility for this mistake and damaging loss. He then immediately dropped me as a client for no reason. He refused to even explain the Judges decision to me… this is a fact. he refused to respond to my subsequent inquiries as of what to do. This is a fact. I have no means to Appeal now. This loss was devastating both financially and emotionally. I too am filing a complaint with the FTC and Bar Association and hope that anyone else who has been hurt by this unscrupulous law firm will do the same. This should not stand. I had hundreds of pages of emails and witnesses to support my case that never was considered partially because Shaun refused to depose my witnesses to save money even though I asked, for repeatedly, so nothing was on record in support of my case. This is a fact. It was an epic fail and it all goes back to Shaun Southworth . Yes Georgia Lawrence is incapable but Shaun is ultimately responsible. I am devastated by this as my 33 year career meant a lot to me. Please do not make the mistake I did and please do your homework. Seek out his negative reviews. I have been monitoring and screenshotting his negative reviews for several years now and there is a pattern If enough people file complaints something may happen. I once thought early on these poor reviews were reflective of perhaps clients that lost their case and were just upset but when you read them and they reflect exactly what you were put through by Southworth PC ( i. e. excessive billing, rudeness, Georgia Lawrence filing your case wrong ( that is literally in three reviews and it happened to me as well!) not returning calls, not listening to you … not bothering to fully understand the actual facts of your case … etc etc)you come to realize that this is an indisputable pattern of doing business for Southworth PC. This is a fact. This is a pattern. It is not without basis. I lived it. Shaun once told me to shut up! He thought I didn’t know what I was talking about but when he finally listened to what I was saying he realized I was right and knew what I was talking about … he offered no apology. This is a fact! It really was a horrible experience from start to finish working with this law firm. The frustration was off the charts.

Worst Decision I Could have Made

Retaining Shaun Carl Southworth as an attorney was the literal worst decision I could have ever made. He charged me over $10,000 for documents that were always submitted at the very last minute. Were not accurate or detailed and in some instances wrong. He was never available when I needed to speak t...o him regarding my case and even yelled at me that "I did not know the law". Then hung up in my face. Going through discrimination, prejudice, and a wrongful removal was super stressful and Shaun Carl Southworth made it 100x worse. Georgia Lawrence was inexperienced and it was clear she had no idea what she was doing. Very costly and unprofessional legal representation.

Got my Career back

I would like to start off by sincerely thanking Shaun Southworth and his awesome team over at Southworth PC. These wonderful people include Shaun Southworth, Ronica Scales, Terina Williams, and Shanna Goodwin; each of these wonderful individuals played a major role in fighting and winning my case. I... spoke with numerous attorneys before I spoke with Shaun Southworth about my case and all of the other attorneys were mainly concerned with money, I understand that attorneys have to be paid for their services, but all the attorneys I spoke with except for Shaun at Southworth PC was mainly concerned with getting paid and wanted all the money for the retainer fee up front. It was different at Southworth PC, the first time I spoke with Shaun, he was sincerely concerned, and he told me "he felt bad what happened to me", and that he would try my case. The way they structured things made it affordable for me. I just wanted my job back over money, and Shaun Southworth and his team at Southworth PC got me just that, my job back. I was offered a lot of money by the agency during the settlement, but I just wanted to return to my job for personal reasons. To me some things are worth more than money. In the beginning of my case, I did not know how things were going to go, I just knew that I did not do anything wrong, but I still had a little doubt. I felt I was done wrong, I felt like what happened should not have happened, and I wanted to feel whole again. Shaun Southworth and his team at Southworth PC helped me become whole again. The agency did not want me to return at first, the agency did not want to pay attorney fees, and the agency did not seem to care if I was alright or not; this did not start to change until the middle of the case. In the beginning there was a lot of back and forth between the agency and Southworth PC, but Shaun and his team stayed on top of things. Shaun Southworth and Terina Williams kept up with all of the deadlines, they made sure all paperwork was filed in a timely manner, and they made sure I got all of their messages by doing follow-ups. Shanna Goodwin made sure she relayed every important message to me when I had to speak with Shaun Southworth and/or have a meeting with him about my case. Ronica Scales was a key player as well. She also helped enable me to return to the agency on a date that was good for me. Shaun and his team always asked if I had any questions about anything, they always made sure I understood what was going on, they always kept me in the loop of things, and they always let me know the positive and not so positive things that were going on. They did not give me false hope. They always gave their honest opinions and I appreciate that. I took everything into consideration that they advised me of and I never once lost faith in them because I valued their opinion and wonderful counsel. I am completely satisfied with Southworth PC, I am glad I contacted, consulted with, and hired Shaun Southworth as my attorney, and received help from Terina Williams, Ronica Scales, and Shanna Goodwin as well. I would like to give a special thanks to Ronica Scales, she did not only help with making sure that the agency gave me my job back, but she communicated clearly with the agency and along with Shaun, she constantly reminded the agency of a major deadlines. I think this was a key factor in my case in relation to receiving everything that came along with being reinstated, and Shaun was the reinforcement. I thanked them as much as I could, but I am sincerely thankful and grateful for the wonderful staff at Southworh PC. , they are not only Great Attorneys, but they are good people as well. Thank you Southworth PC. Anyone that is in need of an attorney for reasons in relation to the services Southworth PC provides, I would highly recommend to anyone to use Southworh PC over other attorneys that provides similar services.

I could not be more pleased with Southworth PC.

I could not be more pleased with Southworth PC. From the initial contact Mr. Shaun Southworth was attentive to the matter. Ms. Terina Williams did a great job handling the case from start to finish. Ms. Williams did an excellent job at becoming knowledgeable with the case, weighing all options and di...scovering what the best outcome for me as a client would be. There is nothing I can say I wasn't prepared for. I was always informed on pertinent information and upcoming matter. The fact that Ms. Williams would brief me on upcoming potentials and on what to except next helped my anxiety and prepared me. Though it took some time to resolve I always felt that the case was still an important matter and was able to get updates at any time or any questions/ concerns answered in a timely matter. Overall I was very pleased with the outcome. Southworth PC is a reputable firm I would recommend.
